They want to break that negative record, but the defending champions come to town. Filip Kostic scored four goals last season, but his assists brought the team many points. Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen

BVB finished behind Bayern Munich last season, but they were eight points behind. It will be interesting to see how Dortmund will perform without Erling Haaland, who joined Man City this summer. Borussia needs to avoid dropping points at home since they lost four times at Signal Iduna Park. The hosts started the season well after beating 1860 Munchen in DFB Pokal. Julian Brandt is a guy who showed his qualities last season, and many teams are interested in the German national team player. There aren't many personnel worries, with just one fitness concern for the Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzić to contend with, thanks to an almost full-strength group. Leverkusen celebrated a return to the Champions League by finishing third last season. They booked four straight wins at the end of the campaign to secure the top-four finish. However, they went out of the DFB Pokal after losing to minnows Elvesberg 4:3. Bayer enters the new campaign without many changes in the squad. Adam Hlozek is the most notable signing, as the talented Czech international joined the team from Sparta Prague. With a fully injury-free group available to choose from, the Bayer Leverkusen boss Gerardo Seoane has zero fitness worries to speak of before this game.

Borussia Dortmund excelled on their home field last season, and the Millionaires recorded as many as thirteen victories. Signal Iduna Park was an impregnable fortress for many opponents. Although Bayer Leverkusen is a tricky opponent, we believe BVB will book their first win this season.
