Just one in an early race so far 1.40 Holbache 0.60 win at 17/2. The horse ran badly last time but that was on soft going so I am hoping for a bounce back 2.50 Pont Colnago 1 pt win at 6.8 (earlier). There is no way I would back Storm Venture even now at a best price of 11/4 (was 13/8 earlier) 5.20 Pont Commandment 1 pt win at 5.3 (Hollie has already had 3 winners, she shouldn't be greedy should she?) 7.50 Km Love Someone 0.6 win at 6/1 8.20 Km Vanity Affair 0.6 at 15/2 8.50 Km Murau 1 pt win at 3.55 (my PL Nap) and a saver bet of 0.5 win on Vino Victrix at 3/1 No candidates for a multiple. No winners so far but have come close Total stakes today = 5.30 Everyone loves Hollie today ? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RESULTS UPATE 1 winner out of 6 selections = 3.50 return so a net loss of 1.8 on the day. Luckily this was my Nap selection and it looked as though I needed the saver bet on Vino Victrix. MTD -17.40 & YTD - 219.58 Some good class racing at Doncaster tomorrow, I wonder if @richard-westwood may be tempted to rate up some races there ? The Scientist Posted August 3, 2022 Share Posted August 3, 2022 My only contribution today concerns HIGHJACKED in the Newcastle 4.00. The gelding hit a bump in the track when coming to win at Ripon and stayed on his feet to come third. Where these Ripon ridges are nobody or no horse seem to see. Is it stride length or luck.? Who knows? Anyway HIGHJACKED is a last time out winner without a penalty so must be worth a modest each wsy incestmeny at 6-1.(still 6-1?) I ll check.
