My August Experiment

Obviously hugely impressive in terms of the returns from the selections but what's the conclusion in terms of the experiment? If my top of the head maths are right you'd have made more by just staking the entire amount as singles (e.g. £6.50 singles adding the L15 stakes to the fiver).

Presumably you'd take the view that the difference is worth it for the potential bumper payday when you hit 3 or 4, which is extremely likely if you got similar results month in, month out?

Yes you are correct the Lucky 15s are potential the experiment was mmm probably the wrong title to be honest i ran the same thread on here last year so like i said experiment was the wrong title was just a way of keeping me focused more than anything, i had lost a bit of enthusiasm in my betting (not putting the hard graft in) needed a kick and to be honest it worked quite well got the enthusiasm back. just a shame i chucked my toys out of the pram half way thru, but to be honest i dont think anyone actually replicated or bet on what i was posting anyway. next months "experiment" might be interesting, at least it will be something different.

Yes, very impressive.

I assume you would also have been able to get better prices on some occasions by using other bookmakers.

This would have made the singles return even better but the accumulator would remain the same.

Interesting point, but heres the thing i used to check oddchecker regularly and pretty much 90+% of the time Bet365were tops anyway, if i was betting in £100's thats a different matter,  I would be foolish not to shop around.

We’ll done zil I’ll take over tomorrow 3rd reserve ? will be 10 p e/w lucky 15 and 25p e/w singles . I’ll send you bank details if wheel falls off ?? will put on daily chat ?

Good luck Lee lets hope a profit is produced. The each way bit worries me a tad but that makes it even more interesting for the seeing the outcome. I assume you are not restricting yourself to UK/Irish, you have had some good results in france, the hardest part for me is getting the shortlist (which can be long lol) down to 4 selections

I might have a few quid on your selections, you have a good track record.

Below is the accounting of this months experiment with the difference being that the singles i put on were £5 win singles and not the £3.50 win singles in the experiment, the difference was due to wanting to keep the published experiment down to £20.00 The lucky 15 is the same at 40p (£6)

Fantastic returns for the month. Are you not tempted to use slightly bigger stakes as your bank/returns build ?

Well the "old way" was when the bank doubles the stakes double, when it halves halve your stakes. but i do that many different types of bets on horses that i tend to let one pay for the other its all about enjoyment, winning is great but not the be all and end all for me im and old b'stard now so the money side is secondary, if i was a younger man it would be different believe me.

Too true, as you get older there's not that much to spend it on.
