European Masters (and qualifying)

Bunch of matches today. Some at 10am, in the next half hour. 2.30 and 7pm.

I think Ben Woollaston is worth following against Jak Jones. Woollaston played excellent in the Championship League and won all 3 of his matches without too much fuss. He has won the only h2h, although back in 2017. I'll also take a chance on a accy across the day.

5.5pts Woollaston to beat Jak Jones 10/11
2pts O'Connor, Mann (-2.5 frames), Woollaston & Lawler 13/1 paddypower

  • 4 weeks later...

Lots of matches today and some get started at 10am, so not alot of time to preview. I have 2 that I like for the early matches. The first is Ajaib to beat the woeful Pinches. Obviously Pinches will turn up now but he was awful last week and let a 3-1 lead slip. Ajaib isn't going to break any records but he went and beat Allen 5-3 after being 3-1 down last week and although it wasn't a masterclass and more a fact of Allen's issues, you still need abit about you to do that. The other I am taking a punt on is Anda to beat Murpy. Anda has been playing some decent stuff and it will take Murphy not really turning up but it's worth a 2/1 shot.

5pts Ajaib to beat Pinches 11/10 paddypower
2pts Anda to beat Murphy 2/1 bet365

Couple outright bets, too. We haven't had any of those for a while. A few big prices as, let's face it, it happened here last year.

2pts Bingtao to win European Masters 12/1 willhill
-------------------------------------------------------------
1pt e/w Yuelong to win European Masters 40/1 bet365
0.5pts e/w Sijun to win European Masters 80/1 betfred
0.5pts e/w Jiahui to win European Masters 100/1 betfred

Whilst I would be tempted by Jak Jones to beat Milkins if the odds were around 11/10, I will leave that one alone and look to the evening matches. There are a few that I like and the first is Mann on the +2.5 handicap against Ricky Walden. Walden can be quite hit and miss and even if he wins this I wouldn't imagine Mann not hitting atleast 3 frames. They haven't played for 5 years but Mann won the last h2h. The other is a punt on Matthew Stevens after his display yesterday in the beating of Maguire. Maguire had beat him 8 times prior to that match and Stevens just dominated him. He takes on Lisowski this evening and Lisowski could be vulnerable. Trump looked quite average against Saengkham and although you would expect him to come out and get better, he may be worth laying against Hugill on the handicap, also.

5pts Mann +2.5 frames to beat Walden 11/10 bet365
4pts Stevens to beat Lisowski 13/8 bet365
1pt accy - Sijun / Stevens / Mann +2,5 / Hugill +3.5 14/1 skybet

Hasn't been a whole lot out there that has got me excited really. I think Yize looks a good shout in the 10am matches to beat Day but the one I will be going for in the evening is Jiahui (-1.5 handicap) to beat Wells. In my mind, even at 18, Jiahui is already a better player than Wells and let's face it, Wells has been Lines, Judge and Gary Wilson. Jiahui has beaten McGill and Guodong. Much better players than that and has performed too.

5.5pts Jiahui (-1.5 frames) to beat Wells 10/11 paddypower
1pt treble - Yize / Jiahui (-1.5 frames) / Yuelong 11.5/1 paddypower
