Snooker Shoot Out 2022

Always a fun event to watch and if you get lucky enough (and there is 100% alot of luck in it) to get the winner then you're likely to find a great price. It's a ranking event rather weirdly, when you think the Masters isn't and the Shoot Out "coin-flip" is. 4 day event in which the winner bags 50k.

There isn't too much that you do in terms of research here. Certain players have done well here and perhaps it's a way to go. Average shot time is probably important, hence the likes of Un-Nooh winning here in the past. All in all though, I'm just going to go with the following :

Agree it's a good bit of fun with the different format, good luck with the scattergun outright picks but as you say it's a lottery pick ultimately:-)

watching the Shoot out and this young lad Stan Moody some CRACKING pots from the 15 year old

wonder what odds you could get on him winning a world title within 10 years

after a few matches several underdogs won,

this format really makes the result rather random, especially with average players who don't have the skills to go on big breaks, so betting on dogs seems the way to go

just like a young shaun murphy wasn't he? at least 1000-1 as a minimum, probably more like 5000-1 in my opinion?

very impressive was the young man       i really like the shoot-out format gives the young upcoming talent their 10 mins in the spotlight

There is room for stuff like this. Not much different than T20 cricket. Is that really cricket? Just another form of the game, really. Although I admit that there is alot of luck involved, having key attributes make certain players better than others, hence a handful of players are always in or around the final 16.

Happy for Hossein, shame we didn't have him outright but he played amazingly so deserved his maiden ranking victory. At least we got the e/w on Williams:-)

Wenbo really blew it with the miscue - I wonder if he did it deliberately;-)

sadly i dont agree @owenclass  a once a year event like this is fantastic -  how many times have you got bored from  watching someone running rout 8 or 9 frames up and switched over to something else i know i have, this goes down to the last few seconds each match and is giving some unknown players the opportunity in front of cameras they would never get , i do also like the random draw after each round makes it much more interesting not knowing who youll get in the next round

agree with @ipswich45 on that

yeah, small profit thanks to Williams but it was Hallworth that I was most gutted about 400/1 and 100/1 for making the semi final he did a push-shot which halted him making the QFs  

I really enjoyed watching the event though. Good bit of fun

yeah that was a sore one, I was expecting him to cue down on it and jab it in rather than play a conventional shot. I always enjoy the different format as well:-)
