He was one of the original 5 I was going to do, so may save myself a bit of money as all the others are having terrible rounds.

Talk about making me eat my words, Burns goes away and misses the cut while three of the "terrible rounders" make the cut, one in the Top 15. :wall:puke

Harding going well and Hatton 2nd so not bad.

Thomas joint top on US.

Gos knows what I was thinking backing Lowry as my main bet, never ever thought about backing him but for some daft reason went with him. Was looking at fleetwood, but hes the king of nearly men and van rooyen is a good player, but whilst I tend to go with SA on the Euro tour I didnt want to put 2 on.

They're going really well mate. Long may they keep it up.

@Xtc12 i noticed quite a few players had very different 1st round to  2nd round scores. I think this was maybe due to a two course setup for the first two rounds. Though i didn't research myself who was playing the easier course first round etc. as the Wednesday start day caught me off guard slightly. Turns out this earlier start was due to the PGA not wanting to clash tv ratings wise with the NFL playoff matches on Sunday.

Have to say rahm and mcilroy respectively are creeping up and look major dangers now, could br a favs double.

Came off zalatoris which could be a mistake too after giving me a small ew win last tournie.

Still few chances though.

Definitely competitive stuff going into each tournaments respective final rounds mate.

Even your dad with Wiesberger has still got a decent chance in Dubai.

If Rahm doesn't win I'll definitely be cheering for your guy JT.

Best of luck

Unlucky lads. Seems a lot of our players didn't read the script for a strong final round finish.

Hovland is definitely stamping his authority on the game currently.

As for Luke List, I can't say I would have ever picked him. Fair play to him, and like you all rightly say, onwards we go.

Seamus Power in a great position after two rounds at Pebble Beach. Hoge nicely poised as well.

I don't know what courses they've played out of this 3 course event (the cut comes after round three) though I always feel it's better to have the scores in the bag and let the other players have the pressure of playing catch up. Let's see how it all plays out.

Hoge really in a rich vein of form, Ibdo have a feeling Cantlay may come through.

Think too many in front of Day now and Power absolutely blew it last round.

Completely agree with everything said here mate. I underestimated the significance of which course you are playing on as key. As I thought Power had a comfortable lead. Day is still in there with a fighting chance for sure. It's going to be a fascinating final round with plenty in contention. Best of luck to all.

Well done on betting Hoge.

Not sure what the field will be like next pga and euro but few names to take from the 3 tournies that were on, likes of cantlay, hughes, c. Smith, bezuidenhout (if he is in euro) and Li.

Hoges prices will be falling with every tournie but could still feature high up, just with recent successes I think he may plateau off.

Spieth finishes solo 2nd. Maybe I should consider doing these selections each way. Though that's something to calculate and work through at the end of the year.

Yes, in my opinion its a definite to bet E/W in golf betting. If you bet two players each tournament, a 16\1 place will get your money back for both selections.

Not a fan of the ew when your backing at those odds, basically under 25-30s for me its not worth it.

Going to look over tonight tomorrow morning to see the field and tske it from there, the US/Euro are both Thursday?

Result roundup:

StrikeRate: 0/8

Bank: -8.00pts

Did some quick maths on my selections and backing each way with Bet365 at quarter odds 1st to 5th places my bank would be at +26.50pts give or take a point. Most of that admittedly from Hoge at 140/1 in The American Express. Therefore going forward i'm going to do each way for all selections that are 20/1 and bigger as i feel @fd1972uk  is right when he says it's probably not worth backing the shorter prices in the long run. Anyway time will tell and as always i greatly appreciate your feedback and ideas @Xtc12  and @fd1972uk

This week's event:

WASTE MANAGEMENT PHOENIX OPEN

Xander Schauffele 22/1 (each way)

Harris English 66/1 (each way)

All prices quoted are Bet365 1/4 Top 5.

Best of luck lads.

3 US bets are doing quite well, not sure they Euro tour maybe a bit far back, but you never know.

Came off harding after last couple of weeks as his betting was always coming down, although it is at a more lesser field, so maybe shouldnt have strayed this early knowing that.

Be quite something if Rasmus came through, lol.  It seemed he was the better of the two twins.

Cantlay, Schauffele nicely poised in the Phoenix at the halfway stage (Harris English NR so all the attention solely on Schauffele, no pressure now Xander! Lol)

Be interesting to see how the young lad Theegala copes with being leader. Got to watch out for Brooks Koepka in this tournament as well, going for his third win in this event.

As I type, Meronk making a nice surge up the leaderboard in the Ras and Bland nicely poised also.
