Chelsea VS Southampton

Kick Off: 10/26/2021 14:45

Chelsea

The Blues enter the match after a 7-0 victory over Norwich City in league on Saturday. Chelsea have shown an excellent start to the new season for 7W-1D-1L with 22 points and ranked the first place in the table so far, while they have scored 23 goals and conceded just 3 goals. They are currently in a record of four consecutive wins. They drew 1-1 with villa in the last round then beat their opponent in the penalty shoot out to advance to this round. Chelsea have won the EFL title 5 times and their last champion in 2015 by beating Hotspur 2-0 in the final.

Southampton

Southampton played a 2-2 draw with Burnley last weekend in the league. Valentino and Broja both scored goals for the Saints. They have achieved 1W-5D-3L with only 8 points and ranked 16st in the table so far. They drew 2-2 with Sheffield United in the last round then beat their opponent in the penalty shoot out to advance to this round. They have never won the title of EFL. But they have reached the final two times. The last time was in 2017 when they were beaten by Manchester United 3-2 at Wembley Stadium.

Prediction

Chelsea are too strong for Southampton. Chelsea can create enough chances and not to concede against Southampton, and Southampton are likely to find it a difficult task to break their defense.

Pick: Chelsea

Total: Over 2.5/3 goals

Arsenal VS Leeds United

Kick Off: 10/26/2021 14:45

Arsenal

The Gunners will enter the game after a 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League last weekend. Friday's victory made their record of unbeaten seven games in all competitions, who have also won four of their last five matches at the Emirates Stadium. The team currently rank the ninth place with 4W-2D-3L with 14 points in the table. They won 3-0 over AFC Wimbledon in the last round of the EFL Cup and promote to this stage. Arsenal is the most dominant team in the history of the FA Cup for winning the title fourteen times, but they have only lifted the EFL on two times.

Leeds United

Leeds United made a 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday. They have only achieved 1W-4D-4L with just seven points from nine games and ranked 17th in the table so far. They came to this round by beating Fulham on penalties after a goalless draw last round in EFL. Leeds United have only won the Cup once, winning the EFL of 1968 a 1-0 victory over Arsenal.

Prediction

Leeds United lost seven of the last nine meetings between the two sides, including a 4-2 defeat in the Emirates Stadium in February. Leeds United won't easily break the defense of Arsenal. So we will expect Arsenal to win this game and put themselves into the quarter-finals.

Pick: Arsenal

Final Results: 2-0, 2-1

Chelsea vs Southampton

The home side was brilliant last weekend, as they trashed Norwich City 7:0 in the Premier League 9th round. Thomas Tuchel’s side secured a comfortable 3:0 lead before halftime, while they kept the same tempo until the end of the match. That victory keep them on the top of the table, being one point ahead of Liverpool. Chelsea celebrated seven times in the English top-flight and are among the major title contenders this season. The Blues have been almost unbeatable in defense, as they have conceded only three goals so far. On the other hand, Mason Mount and the lads have been pretty productive in front of the oppositions’ net, scoring 23 goals this season. They want to challenge all trophies, and Chelsea will search for another victory.

Southampton managed to escape from the relegation zone thanks to picking up four points in the previous two rounds. They booked their first win in the season in mid-October, and the visitors are now four points ahead of the red line. However, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side needs to do better to get away from danger. Adam Armstrong and the lads have trouble converting their chances into goals, while their defense hasn’t been too bad. Southampton managed to get back home undefeated just twice this season, and they will have a very tough task at Stamford Bridge. The visitors have already successfully passed two EFL Cup steps, eliminating Newport County and Sheffield United.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

Although Chelsea will very likely field a mixed lineup, they are still favorites in this clash. The Blues want to keep their confidence high while providing a chance for rotation players to show their capabilities. Therefore, we believe the hosts will meet the expectations and progress to the quarter-finals.

Goals Market Prediction

Chelsea has been very disciplined in the back, but we see a big value on the BTTS Yes market. Southampton scored at least once in the previous five encounters against the Blues, and they could extend that streak. Therefore, we don’t think either side will keep the clean sheet

Preston North End vs Liverpool

Kick Off: 10/27/2021 14:45

A real buzz is expected in and around Deepdale on Wednesday evening when red-hot Liverpool come to visit Preston in the battle for a place in the League Cup quarterfinal.

Preston North End

Winning their three games while netting 11 goals in that time, Preston North End brushed aside Mansfield Town, Morecambe and Cheltenham Town in the opening three rounds. Preston North End were denied a second win on the trot last Saturday as they fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Blackpool. Prior to that, they claimed a 2-1 victory over Coventry City on home turf to end their four-game winless run.

Liverpool

With 21 points from nine games, Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League, one point behind Chelsea. They are yet to taste defeat across all competitions this season, picking up 10 wins and three draws. Liverpool stamped their name as firm league title favorites last time out as they steamrolled Manchester United 5-0 away last time out. Liverpool notched at least five goals in three of the last four away games across competitions.

Prediction

Liverpool are obviously huge favorites for the win. As how many goals Liverpool are scoring away from home at the moment, just expect them continuing their remarkable run of netting three or more times on the road.

1X2: 2

Final Results: 0-3

West Ham United vs Manchester City

Kick Off: 10/27/2021 14:45

West Ham host Manchester City in one of the most exciting games of the Carabao Cup R16 on Wednesday evening in London.

West Ham United

Recently, West Ham United have posted a perfect Europa League record in addition to their top-four Premier League spot. They have now won six of their last seven games across all competitions. In their preceding game, West Ham United 1-0 beat Tottenham Hotspur at home. Before that, they 3-0 won Racing Genk in Europa League. West Ham United’s defence has been improving, as they kept three subsequent clean sheets in the consecutive victories over Everton, Genk, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City

Manchester City will be looking to win the EFL Cup for a historic fifth consecutive time. Sitting in the top four in the league, they have looked in great touch and have lost just one of their last 12 matches in all competitions. On Saturday, Manchester City got a convincing 4-1 victory over Brighton Hove Albion. Manchester City have won this competition every year since the 2017/18 season.

Prediction

West Ham United are winless in their last 12 meetings with Manchester City, losing 10 of those and conceding 35 goals in the process. And with their extraordinary record in this match, Manchester City come into the match as clear favorites.

1X2 Pick: 2

Final Results: 1-2

Arsenal vs Leeds

My pick of the games from the EFL Cup 4th Round action on Tuesday night is the 7:45pm BST kick-off between Premier League rivals Arsenal and Leeds at the Emirates Stadium. The home side appear to have started to enjoy some more positive results which is more than can be said for the away team who are continuing to struggle for form this season so far in their league matches anyway.

Arsenal might have endured a torrid start to their campaign but things are picking up. Mikel Arteta's men are now unbeaten in 7 matches across all competitions having won 5 of those games. The Gunners picked up their latest win in a dominant 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the league last Friday night. Their form in the EFL Cup so far has also been impressive with a 6-0 win against Championship side West Brom away being followed up by a comfortable 3-0 victory over League One club AFC Wimbledon at home in the last round. It's now 4 wins from their last 5 home games showing that Arsenal are turning this stadium into a bit of a fortress.

Leeds sit down in 17th place and just 1 position above the relegation zone in the league. Marcelo Bielsa's side are suffering from a number of key injuries and it's negatively impacting their form. The Whites have only managed to pick up 2 victories within a regulation 90 minute game this season. The 1-1 draw against Wolves at home required an injury-time equaliser from striker Rodrigo. Their progress in this competition has been relatively steady with a 3-0 win at home to League One Crewe being succeeded by a 6-5 win on penalties after a 0-0 draw away to Championship club Fulham.

It's now 7 wins and 2 draws for Arsenal across the last 9 meetings with Leeds across all competitions. Leeds have failed to even score in 3 of the last 4 encounters between the two clubs. Given the respective form of these two clubs right now I'd have to back Arsenal to win this one comfortably at home. Leeds just look to be lacking something and you wonder if that will change when their absentees return because it's beginning to feel like a rot could set in.

West Ham vs Manchester City

The hosts failed to secure a Champions League spot last season, but they seek the top-four finish again. The Hammers sit in 4th place, being two points ahead of Brighton and Tottenham. David Moyes’s side heads to this game after beating the Spurs last weekend, and that was their third win in a row in all competitions. Aaron Cresswell and the lads kept their net intact in the previous three matches, and they have been pretty disciplined in the back. On the other hand, West Ham is doing a decent job in the final third, scoring almost two goals per match on average. They have already eliminated Manchester United from this competition, and they want to repeat the same against the Citizens.

Manchester City really enjoys this competition, as the visitors managed to win it four times in a row. They also want to retain the Premier League title, and Pep Guardiola’s side is two points behind Chelsea. It will be the third straight match on the road for the Citizens, and they have been pretty successful so far. Phil Foden and the lads have been very productive in front of the oppositions’ goal lately, and they scored nine on the last two occasions. Manchester City didn’t have too much trouble beating Wycombe in the previous round, as they celebrated a 6:1 victory. A much more challenging opponent is ahead of them, but they want to stay in the competition.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be a close match, although Manchester City is a favorite. West Ham shouldn’t be underestimated, and we don’t think they will lose this game by more than one goal.

Goals Market Prediction

The Hammers have been pretty disciplined in defense lately, and they want to surprise their upcoming rivals. On the other hand, Manchester City has been very efficient, and we don’t see either side keeping the clean sheet in this encounter.

West Ham AH +1 @ 2.15

BTTS Yes @ 1.75

Correct score 2:2 @ 18.00
