FC Barcelona vs Valencia Prediction & Match Preview

Kick Off: 10/17/2021 15:00

Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways when they continue their 2021-22 La Liga campaign at home to Valencia on Sunday night.

FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona have struggled in recent weeks and suffered consecutive defeats before the international break. They are in a lowly ninth place in the league table with 12 points from their opening seven matches. FC Barcelona lost 2-0 against Atleti on the road the last match-day. Their record thus become one win from just the last six games, and they have also won just once at home in the past three appearances.

Valencia

Level on points with the host, Valencia are in eighth place in the La Liga standings at the moment and have improved after a slow start to the season. They have won three, drawn three and lost two of their opening eight matches of the season to collect 12 points. Valencia were held to a goalless draw against Cadiz in the past game week on the road, and they had remained unbeaten in 13 of their previous 17 fixtures.

Prediction

Barcelona have endured a difficult year under Ronald Koeman so far. Valencia also have a few issues to solve. However, Barcelona are the better team on paper who have plenty of talent in their squad. Therefore expect FC Barcelona to win this game with their home advantage.

1X2 Pick: 1

Final Results: 2-1, 3-1
