France reversed Belgium 3-2 at away in the semi-finals, and remained unbeaten in the last 15 games with 9 wins and 6 draws. Italy vs Belgium

The 3rd Place Play-Off for the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League takes place at 2pm BST on Sunday afternoon at the Juventus Stadium in Turin with the European giants of Italy and Belgium going toe-to-toe. It's the reigning European Championship winners versus the world's number one ranked side according to the FIFA rankings. Will either team get this result done in 90 minutes or are we looking at penalties to decide this game?

Italy were on top of the continent a few months ago as the winners of the 2020 European Championship and it seemed like that superb run of form could continue as they headed into these semi-finals. Unfortunately, Spain disrupted the record-breaking unbeaten run of 37 matches set by Robert Mancini's side. It was a shock result for the Italians who were slight favourites being on home soil but after that loss they must pick themselves up and go again in an effort to get back to winning ways. It'll be interesting to see how the Azzurri react to that defeat against a very talented opponent. Once again, the Italians are on home soil so can they make home advantage count? Interestingly, 5 of the last 7 matches Italy have played have seen both teams score so that key defensive stability that was the foundation for their unbeaten run is now eroding away it seems.

Belgium are coming to the end of this "golden generation" but they are looking better than ever. The 3-2 defeat to France in their semi-final was a tough one to take given Romelu Lukaku had a goal ruled out and the winning goal came in the last minute from the unlikely source of Theo Hernandez. Roberto Martinez will still feel his team can win this game though from the way they've been playing recently. That defeat to France was just a 2nd loss in 18 matches for the Red Devils. It's now 39 games in a row where Belgium have scored so there's no doubting their attacking threat. Due to Italy's defence starting to look a little more fragile in recent games it's this attacking prowess that could provide the key for Belgium if they want to win this game in regulation time. Lukaku is also a good tip for anytime scorer having bagged 9 goals in his last 9 games including scoring in the last game against France.

This is a tough one to call. It's two very evenly matched teams. I just think in games like this that home advantage could be crucial but then I said that in Italy's previous game against Spain and look how that turned out. Belgium have looked the more adventurous but that has often been their undoing when it comes to the games that matter which is why they've not won a trophy with this fantastic group of players. I wouldn't be surprised if Italy's more organised structure saw this one out but then it depends how they react to that first loss in years.

The 2020/21 UEFA Nations Final brings the latest incarnation of the competition to a close at 7:45pm BST on Sunday evening when Spain play France in a highly-anticipated clash at the San Siro in Milan. These two teams delivered superb performances in their respective semi-final matches to reach this showpiece match so expectations are high on both sides of lifting the trophy.

Spain surprised a lot of people by navigating their way past host nation Italy in their game. Head coach Luis Enrique appears to be heading in the right direction with this Spanish team but this is another game where they come into it as underdogs. Scoring goals has been the strength for this La Roja with the team scoring in 8 consecutive games. However, question marks remain over the defence with both teams scoring in 5 of the last 7 matches the team has played but it has been just 1 goal conceded in their last 3 competitive games so has Enrique addressed that issue?

France possess an abundance of talent in their squad and it'll be a special occasion for attacker Antoine Griezmann who is set to make his 100th appearance for the national team here. Head coach Didier Deschamps saw his team earn a lucky escape against Belgium in the semi-final but they'll be fully relishing this clash where they come into it as favourites. Les Bleus will be expecting big things from striker Karim Benzema who has bagged 9 goals in his last 8 appearances. Yet 6 of the team's last 7 matches have seen both teams score so like Spain they do have a defence that leaks goals. The team are unbeaten over 90 minutes in their last 14 matches though.

I'm expecting this to have the potential to be a superb game with both teams certainly feeling confident that they can take the win. I think I have to just about back France to win though. Spain have some quality players and did well to get past Italy but France are on another level. If they don't win it'll be their own fault. You only need to look at the match winners on both teams and France boast more.
