Three winners from seven so my new approach paid off at first time of asking. I think it was Aiden O'Briens winner in the Irish 1,000 Guineas that has convinced me that one must take account of all runners in a race rather than just the favourite. As Mark Johnstone once said "if you don't think that your second string horse has a chance of winning then leave it at home". I'm fed up with just considering the top three in the betting market and getting it wrong all too often. Instead I will work backwards in the market with top jockeys and apprentices that are riding horses that at least has a squeak of a chance in winning. This saves on stakes and enhances profits when winners occur. Please forgive my self indulgence. Anyway the outlay was £16.15 with a return of £72.80 yielding a net profit of £56.65. This means that my new balance is now £965.80 (Bank £1056.22) so I still have to claw back almost £100 to get to break even again Four UK meetings scheduled tomorrow but an inspection at Beverley where the forecast going is Heavy. Let's hope I can find a winner or two. peanut peanut, yossa6133, Wildgarden and 3 others

Offramp
BTW my surname is O'Brien! I look at the form and I see my name like a rash all over the page. I'm not really an Offramp. That's a pseudonym. Also BTW, I'm a Londoner, so I'm what's called a "plastic Paddy". If I fall asleep by the fire, I'll melt.
