Another Kev P fancy for me here, though barely worth it for the stake allowed.

0.2 points on van de Beek (Holland) at 150/1 with 365.

Kev acknowledges that this is hugely speculative but it's a standout price (unfortunately not with the ideal firm for me).

I've also had 8 points on Torres for young player of the tournament at 11/1 Sky Bet. Foden very popular in that market but, at the odds, I prefer an interest in his Spanish clubmate.

It sounds like Kev P has been on the cool aid with this one! Might as well throw money away! Saying Van der Beek is a stand out price at 150/1 is like saying Gareth Bale is a standout price as top scorer at 50/1. I just can't see it happening in a million years. I think you need to have Kev P's job, Harry, because your Ferran Torres shout for Young Player is a much better shout! I'm interested to see what sort of tournament Joao Felix has with Portugal. Pedro Goncalves could also have a break through tournament after the season he's had for Sporting CP.

:) You can't knock the guy's record in terms of his "proper" tipping; 20 odd years of consecutive profit which has been tracked on here for the past few years. I suspect he was already on the beach when they asked him for his thoughts on a few markets as part of a panel of their writers. He could've said, for that market, "how would I know, pick a name out of a hat" but he offered his thoughts. I observed that the price was a standout in terms of being much shorter everywhere else. I would've chucked a quid at it on a "just in case" basis but 365's idea of keeping betting fun was to limit me to 20p so I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Hills and betfair are offering player of tournament and winning team doubles.

The last 6 winners of the player of the tournament have played for the winning team,

also 5 of the 6 were midfielders, as follows in reverse order:

griezman, iniesta, xavi, zagorakis, zidane, sammer.

I fancy france to win and think pogba and kante are decent shouts for the accolade.

Cheers but definitely showing as a 25/1 shot for me, "France to win Euro 2020 & Ngolo Kante UEFA Player of the Tournament". There are no 50/1 shots in that section. Maybe you need to refresh?

Both decent calls and that stat about them tending to come from the winning nation is compelling. Pogba (along with Lukaku at the same price) was the RP tip at 33/1 to win the award.

My mates and I were having this discussion and we felt Kante is one of those players that won't get the recognition he deserves. If France go all the way then they'll undoubtedly have had Mbappe or Benzema (or both!) banging in the goals so we thought that even though Kante would obviously be the key operator behind their success the UEFA Player of the Tournament would go to a more "flashy" type of player like those scoring the goals. It's a shame because Kante should've be in contention at the 2018 World Cup but Modric was too good.

i saw some discussion on kante and they said the fact that he plays with a smile on his face may carry some weight @StevieDay1983

Based on the same model (a midfielder from the winning nation) i have added jorghino at 66/1 and veratti at 100/1

in the player of the tournament market. Jorghino has played every game so far so he is to higher stakes than veratti who has played only 1 through injury.

I would expect Veratti to play the remainder of games though. This is with betfred.

I have won a lot of money yesterday on Switzerland + Croatia goals, but i am so upset to know that Pogba won`t play at this tournament. He creates a lot of dangerous attacks in all France`s matches. Goal against Switzerland was a cherry on a pie. I think he deserves this award, really. P.S. i am not a fan of Pogba at all, but this 4 games made me respect him as a football genius.

Lorenzo Insigne was voted Star of the Match in last nights Quarter Final between Belgium and Italy - he's not currently showing on Oddschecker but Betway have him chalked up at 33/1, he's generally around 10/1 elsewhere. Italy are current tournament favs and I think he represents value.
