Juventus vs Inter

It has been an unsuccessful campaign for the hosts as their decade-long dominance came to an end. Moreover, Juventus is still unsure about booking the ticket for the Champions League next season. Bianconeri are one point behind Napoli and three away from Milan and Atalanta, and those teams are in better momentum than Andrea Pirlo’s side. Inter has been the most dominant Serie A team in 2021, and they are 13 points ahead of Atalanta and Milan. Antonio Conte deservedly brought the Scudetto back to Milano’s Black and Blue side, despite having an unsuccessful continental campaign. Although the visitors had trouble in the backline, especially in the first half of the season, Romelu Lukaku and the lads were clinical in front of the oppositions’ net. Inter is in a remarkable streak of four wins in a row, and they don’t want to stop there. The away side lost only twice in 36 games played so far, and just once on the road. Eventually, they became the tightest team in the competition, conceding a total of 31 goals. Inter wants to beat their fierce rivals and prove they are currently the best team in Italy.

This game is much more important for the home side, and they need to go for a victory. However, we don’t think Inter will get complacent, as they want to keep Juventus away from the top four. We don’t see Juve winning this one, and Inter should get back home with at least a point.

The visitors can score against any side, as they have en incredible attacking potential. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo and the lads are expected to produce at least one goal. Therefore, we believe neither side will keep its net intact in this encounter.

The hosts started with preparations for the next campaign since the current one has not been very successful. It’s still questionable if they will taste the continental football next season, as Roma sits in 7^th place, being two points ahead of Sassuolo. Giallorossi appointed a new manager for the next attempt to finish in the top four, as Jose Mourinho will take over the bench from his compatriot Paulo Fonseca. The home side heads to Derby della Capitale after a 3:1 defeat against Inter in the latest match. Edin Dzeko and the lads managed to win only once in the previous five rounds, losing three times in that period. Although Roma has been pretty good in the front, their defense allowed too many goals. However, they have been quite confident at Stadio Olimpico, as they lost only twice at the home ground this season. Roma needs to put a disciplined performance in this match if they want to keep the 7^th spot at the end of the campaign.

Lazio is one spot ahead of their fierce rivals, but they are nine points ahead, having one game in hand. The away side is six points behind Napoli, and since they have the chance to reduce that distance, they still hope for a top-four finish. However, the Europa League qualification seems more realistic for Biancocelesti. Simone Inzaghi’s side is in solid form, as they booked three wins in the previous four rounds. Like their opponents, Ciro Immobile and the lads were clinical in front of the oppositions’ net, but their defense could have been a bit tighter. Although Ciro Immobile and the lads have been pretty productive in the front, Lazio has struggled in the back. However, their home form has been stunning, as Lazio booked 12 straight victories at Stadio Olimpico. It is going to be their last match in their backyard this season, and the hosts want to continue their streak.

On the other hand, Torino is just above the red line, but one point should keep them in Serie A. However, they have been pretty bad lately, managing to remain undefeated just once in the last three games. They tied two defeats, and the one against Milan has been pretty painful. Il Toro conceded 11 goals in the previous two matches only, and Davide Nicola’s side should tighten its defense. They allowed too many goals this season, despite Andrea Belotti and the lads being reasonably efficient. Torino’s performances on the road have been pretty decent, and they managed to get back home with four wins and six draws from 18 outings. Although Atalanta is three points ahead of the fifth-placed Juventus, in case they level up at the end, they will have a better head-to-head record. Duvan Zapata and the lads managed to secure a vital 4:3 win in Genoa last weekend that guarantees them a top-four finish. However, Atalanta got complacent after a 4:1 lead, and they should avoid that in the upcoming match. La Dea’s strikers have been lethal for the oppositions’ goalkeepers, as they scored 90 goals so far. After securing a top-four finish, Atalanta can entirely focus on this game, despite having a challenging clash against Milan in the closing Serie A round.

Juventus failed to defend the Serie A title, and the Champions League qualification still looks unsure. Milan and Napoli are one point ahead of them, and their victories mean that we would watch Juve in the Europa League.
