Watford

Watford's victory over rival Norwich in the last round was a great boost to morale, and they still have hopes of winning the title. And the team’s home record is perfect, with 17 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.

Millwall

Millwall has improved a lot this season, but they determined early that they missed the promotion play-offs, which will affect their enthusiasm. They only scored 1 point in the last 3 rounds, scored only 1 goal but lost 7 goals.

Verdict:

There is a big gap between the strengths of the two sides. Watford has a home win rate of more than 80% this season, and this game is full of confidence. The 1X2 first odd is 1.62-3.60-6.00, obvious support the home team. Watford should win this game easily.

Cardiff vs Wycombe

The Championship season is drawing to a close with just 3 league games remaining for most clubs. This preview looks at the clash between mid-table Cardiff and relegation-battling Wycombe in a 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday afternoon from the Cardiff City Stadium. There's nothing but pride to play for as the home team wind things down but they face a visiting side that are fighting for their very lives in this division.

Cardiff are looking like a typical club who are short on squad depth, playing players that are fatigued, and have nothing left to play for. The Bluebirds are in 9th place and 13 points off the play-offs so promotion hopes are gone. The focus on next season begins now. Just 1 win from their last 9 league games has seen Mick McCarthy's men tail off from the chasing pack. Kieffer Moore is blowing with tired legs, Harry Wilson is still struggling for confidence, and the defence is missing Sean Morrison. On top of this, Alex Smithies is having a rusty patch as he gets back to playing first team football. It has been three draws in a row so the rot has stopped but it still feels like this team is running on empty with little motivation to go that extra yard in games.

Wycombe are in a complete contrast to their opponents for this game. Gareth Ainsworth has managed to get his team grinding out results recently to keep their faint survival hopes alive. The Chairboys have only lost 1 of their last 6 league games in a spell that has moved them to within 6 points of safety with 3 league matches left to play. Time is running out and a defeat here could condemn them back to League One but 3 wins from their past 5 league games has shown they are up for the fight. The only issue is that it has only been 1 win from their last 7 away league games.

It was Wycombe who prevailed as 2-1 winners against Cardiff in the reverse fixture earlier this season when we were struggling under Neil Harris. It was only a late Junior Hoilett goal that made the score-line a lot more generous for us. That result ended a 5-game unbeaten run for Cardiff in this fixture. The news that Morrison will remain out for this game and Thomas Sang has also been ruled out further harms our defensive strength. I feel Wycombe are actually worth backing to get something here.
