OK, so a mate of mine has started doing accumulators and it got me back to thinking about the most dramatic football accumulator wins I've had down the years. It reminded me of a 10-team accumulator I put on to get rid of some spare change in my pocket on 29th November, 2008. All of the games were going my way except Wigan drawing 1-1 at home against West Brom.

Only a matter of minutes remained and then up popped the legend that is Emmerson Boyce as the unlikely source for the winning goal to make it 2-1 and complete my acca win. It was an even more romantic victory because my accumulator included Clyde to beat Montrose. Montrose had been an acca buster on a number of occasions but not this time!

I had only put £1 on the 10-fold but it came in at close to £300 winnings. I've won accumulators since but I'll forever remember the name of Emmerson Boyce as the man who allowed me a few heavy nights out on the town for free! Here's to you, Emmerson!
