Nothing much doing today in the graded races.

Have  had £5.55 win at 3.4 on Mot A Mot in the 4.15 Exeter.  = £13.05 profit if win.  Have also had £2.40 at 3.3 I/R (um at 2..82) for £5.41 on Chavez as an insurance cover bet

I backed an unraced horse yesterday and it didn't work out.  However, I feel that if I restrict such bets to the big yards in the future it just may be profitable.

Good luck everyone

All prices matched now.  This means that I make £10.70 profit if Mot A Mot wins (now favourite).  I lose 3p if Chavez wins and, I lose £7.95 if neither wins

I've noticed you place some strange betting total amounts , £5.55 & £2.40 , what's the logic if you don't mind me asking ?

No problem.  A while ago I created a table for stakes to be used with a £500 betting bank.  Being cautious I decided to set my stakes so as to allow for up to 5 of the longest losing runs to protect my betting bank.  I won't bet on horses at a price below 4/6.  So my stakes are: £12.50 4/6, £11.00 5/6, £10.00 1/1, £8.30 5/4, £7.10 6/4, £6.20 15/8, £5.30 12/5, £4.20 3/1, £3.20 4/1, £2.30 11/2, £1.50 9/1 and 70p at 20/1.  I sometimes round up or down slightly so as to get a rounded return.  And, as you may appreciate there are other odds on offer in between all the above categories.  Some punters may think that one should put the same stake on any particular horse that they fancy but I can guarantee them that they are more likely to exhaust their betting bank much sooner if they were to regularly put £12.50 on 20/1 shots rather than my modest 70p.  I hope that this explanation helps
