RB Leipzig vs Manchester United

The hosts put a very good display in Munich last weekend in the Bundesliga, as they snatched a point against Bayern. Although they had a lead twice, the home side will definitely be satisfied with a draw. Emil Forsberg and the lads have been very productive in front of the oppositions’ goal lately. RB Leipzig scored nine times on three occasions, but during the same period, conceded seven goals. Julian Nagelsman’s side is still in the battle for a place in the knockout stage, as they are level with PSG and Manchester United. However, they need to think only about the victory in this game since it is very unlikely that PSG can lose against Istanbul Basaksehir at Parc des Princes. The German side has the weakest head-to-head record in this triangle, and three points for them is the only outcome that can guarantee them a place in the top two.

Manchester United had another poor first-half display, as they trailed 1:0 to West Ham last weekend. However, they needed 30 minutes to turn around the result and book a 3:1 victory. That one was their fourth in a row in the Premier League and lifted them to the 5th spot. The Red Devils are now only five points behind the Spurs, with one game played less. However, they missed the chance to secure a place in the Champions League knockout stage last Wednesday, as they lost to PSG 3:1 at Old Trafford. Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had several excellent chances, they got punished. United’s crucial defeat occurred in Istanbul against Basaksehir, and now, they need to avoid the loss in order to remain in the top two.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

A great battle is ahead of us, and both sides will go for some points in this clash. We believe Manchester United is more experienced in games like this one, and they should pick up at least a point.

Goals Market Prediction

Both sides have been involved in efficient games lately. RB Leipzig will attack from the start, and the visitors will search for their chance to punish any home side’s mistake. Therefore, we don’t expect nets to remain intact at the end of this game.

Although Lazio will be the favorite of most observers to qualify - justifiably, as they only have to avoid defeat. Club Brugge has gained experience in the Champions League in recent years, has shown several potential and will fight it a lot in Rome. Given the defensive and offensive virtues of both clubs, I expect an open match with goals from both sides.
LAZIO vs CLUB BRUGGE @@ Both team to score, odds 1.66

The guest only needs one point to advance to the knockout stage. Leipzig have conceded six goals in their last two games and the Manchester team is definitely capable of scoring in Germany, as well as at Old Trafford in the reverse game. Leipzig, on the other hand, only wants the victory, they will give everything and their offensive line can find at least one goal.
RB LEIPZIG vs MANCHESTER UNITED @@ Both team to score, odds 1.50

Both coaches are expected to select strong teams for this match despite the fact that both teams have already advanced to the next round. Barcelona's form in the Champions League this season has been excellent, but we expect Juventus to be competitive at the Camp Nou and claim the victory with claims. I will go with the many goals.

Chelsea vs Krasnodar

The Champions League group phase wraps up this week and the first game I'm quickly previewing for this round is the Group E clash between group leaders Chelsea and 3rd place Krasnodar in an 8pm GMT kick-off at Stamford Bridge. Top spot is guaranteed for the home side but they'll need to get a win against a Russian team looking to end their group phase on a high after sealing the Europa League consolation place.

Chelsea can look back on this Champions League run so far and be satisfied. 4 wins and 1 draw from their 5 group matches so far has delivered 1st place and a seeding in the last 16 draw. Frank Lampard is expected to make a number of changes to his squad to rest key players. Keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to return to the first team and youngster Billy Gilmour is also pushing for a start. The Blues boast a 100% record against Russian teams in this competition. Krasnodar are in the draw for the last 32 of the Europa League so could also rest players. The 4-0 defeat on home turf against Chelsea earlier in the campaign will give them motivation to make amends.

Even if Chelsea are resting a number of first team players I just can't see Krasnodar having enough about them to get a result. You look at the players coming in for the home team and they are still quality players. Krasnodar are also technically playing for nothing and it's a long trip to come to London for this game. I can see a standard home win with both sides fielding mix and match line-ups.

RB Leipzig vs Manchester United

The big game of the night undoubtedly comes up at 8pm GMT when RB Leipzig entertain Manchester United at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig in Group H. A draw will be enough to see the visitors through to the next round but they face one of the most attacking teams in European football who know they more than likely must win to progress.

RB Leipzig currently sit in 3rd place in this group but with the top three teams all on 9 points it couldn't be closer. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann will set his team up to play on the front foot and that could play into the hands of United's counter-attacking style. The German side have won both of their home games in this group. Manchester United know a draw will do but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out and claimed it is "not in our genes to play for a 0-0". Will he regret that approach? The Red Devils beat RB Leipzig 5-0 in the previous meeting but it was a tight 1-0 until the final 16 minutes when all hell broke loose. One worrying statistic is that United have lost their last two away games against Bundesliga opposition and Solskjaer has also lost 5 of his 9 games in charge of United in the Champions League.

We can expect a frenetic game here with the stakes severely increased. Both teams have the attacking capabilities to give their opponents problems. I can see there being goals and controversy. Eventually, I think it could be United that come away with a dramatic win but this is United. They have made a habit of screwing me over a lot. So the general rule is that if I back United you bet against them! :lol

Ajax vs Atalanta

After six straight victories, Ajax tied two defeats in a row, and that is not an encouraging moment for the hosts ahead to the most important match in this part of the season. They first lost at Anfield, while Twente booked a surprising win at Johan Cruijff Arena last weekend. Erik Ten Hag’s still tops the Eredivisie table, but they need to chase for a victory in this one to secure one of the top two spots in the group. A double triumph against Midtjylland brought them six points, while Ajax snatched the point in Bergamo after a 2:2 draw. They could have easily got back with a win, but they spilled a 2:0 lead. Dusan Tadic and the lads are very efficient this season, especially in the domestic championship. However, the hosts need to get back on the winning track if they want to book a ticket for the eight-finals.

Atalanta had more time to prepare for this clash since they didn’t play their Serie A match last weekend. The visitors are one point ahead of their next opponents, and a draw could see them progressing further in the competition. However, they also cannot be proud of their latest form since Atalanta has been pretty inconsistent lately. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side celebrated just twice on the past nine occasions, and interestingly, both victories came at the away grounds. Despite losing 5:0 against Liverpool at home, they managed to win all three points at Anfield just one round later. That’s how Atalanta is unpredictable. Luis Muriel and the lads are very productive in front of the oppositions’ goal this season, but they concede a lot as well. Last time, they were just one step away from the semi-finals, but can they get into the knockout stage again?

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

The stake in this clash is very high, as the winner will continue its Champions League campaign. We think Ajax is a bit closer to the victory, and they should be able to deliver it.

Goals Market Prediction

Atalanta won’t be focused just on defending its net and will search for the chance to score. Since both sides are very efficient in the final third, we believe that neither of the teams will be able to keep the clean sheet.

Ajax may have a good prehistory against the Italians, but Atalanta are impressive away from home, winning even at Anfield. I expect them to give their all for the qualification. Ajax is forced to win and I expect an open match with goals.

Atletico has struggled to bring its form to an ideal level, it knows that a draw will see it pass to the next stage of knockouts. Salzburg can score, but defensively they have big gaps with 15 passive goals in five matches and today they have to attack to win. I expect the experienced Atletico to finally impose and continue.
SALZBURG vs ATLETICO MADRID @@ ATLETICO MADRID, odds 2.20

Gladbach may be tempted to make a mistake, as a draw is the only result they need, but with attacking talent in their ranks, it may be better to go for victory amid many defensive worries. This can be a very productive game - certainly the most crucial of Zidane's career - and we believe that the 13-time European champions will be competitive and find a way to continue the institution. Due to the offensive talent of the two clubs, combined with their defensive problems, I expect an open match with goals from both sides.
REAL MADRID vs BORUSSIA MOENCHENGLADBACH @@ Both team to score, odds 1.55

It would be a surprise if we see Porto with a basic starting lineup since it has already been secured and Olympiacos can feel optimistic about the chances of beating the Portuguese this week. However, we still believe that the solid defensive line of coach Conceiçοo will not produce an offensive game and I expect the duel to be judged in detail and I will bet on the few goals

Not a bad set up for yet another bet on Salzburg's corner gaining prowess. Red Bull may or may not give you wings but they certainly seem to make use of them! >5.5 corners at 23/20 and >6.5 at 9/4, both with 888 (I have the benefit of a few 5% boosts every day but ok at the "natural" prices).

FC Midtjylland vs Liverpool

The final night of Champions League group stage games are here and the action kicks off early at 5:55pm GMT for our previews with Danish side FC Midtjylland taking on Premier League champions Liverpool at the MCH Arena in Group D. There is nothing to play for but pride for both teams with the hosts destined to finish bottom of the group and the visitors having already sealed top spot.

FC Midtjylland came into this group as the minnows and they've fulfilled the low expectations. The solitary point that Brian Priske's team gained in this group came against Atalanta away and was probably more than they expected. The previous meeting between these two saw Liverpool come out as 2-0 winners. Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a number of changes to his team and could reward some youngsters with a start. The Reds have won their last three games against Danish opposition keeping clean sheets in each of those wins. It's also 4 wins from their last 5 away games in this competition.

It's always tough to predict these final group games when there's so little riding on them. You only need to take a look at Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Krasnodar last night to see how the underdogs can often come away with something. I'm not sure I can see that here though. Even if Liverpool start a number of fringe players I still think they'll pull off a win against FC Midtjylland.

Manchester City vs Marseille

Our final preview for the group stage of this season's Champions League is the Group C clash between Manchester City and Marseille that is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm GMT on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium. The home side have already secured top spot but will want to end on a high against a visiting team still fighting to try and qualify for the Europa League last 32.

Manchester City sit top of the group and due to their superior results against second placed Porto have sealed that position. Pep Guardiola could look to give star striker Sergio Aguero some minutes in the tank as he looks to return to first team action. The Citizens have the joint best defensive record in the competition with just 1 goal conceded so far with only Chelsea equalling that statistic. The four consecutive clean sheets they have kept in this group sets them up well for this game. Marseille come into this game knowing they need to better the result of Olympiakos to finish third. Andre Villas-Boas is in charge of a club that have lost their last 7 away games in this competition.

It's hard to see beyond a Manchester City win here. Villas-Boas himself has come out and said that even City's B team could win this competition. A strange comment about a club that hasn't won the competition full stop. Anyway, Marseille are awful on their travels and I wouldn't be surprised if City end up keeping another clean sheet to make it 5 shut outs in a row.
