StefanBB
Nimes vs Marseille After a very good start of the campaign, a defeat against PSG saw Nimes slumping down the table. They recorded five losses in the last six rounds and slipped to the 16th spot. The hosts are now only three points ahead of the red line, and the relegation battle seems to be the reality for them. Jerome Arpinon’s side scored just twice in the last seven rounds, while their defensive work suffered a lot in that period. Renaud Ripart and the lads need to start converting their chances into goals before too late. Nimes plays particularly poorly at their ground, where they snatched only four points and conceded 15 goals in six games. The home side needs to find the winning formula as soon as possible in order to get away from the danger zone. On the other hand, Marseille enjoys a four-game winning streak, which launched them to the 6th position. However, they are only four points behind the leaders PSG and have played two games less than their fierce rivals. The visitors have one of the tightest defenses in the competition, while they scored in each of their past seven games in Ligue 1. Florian Thauvin and the lads put the best away performances this season, as they missed the chance to get back home with a win just once. Lyon is the only team that didn’t lose against Marseille at home, as they snatched a 1:1 draw. However, Andre Villas-Boas’ side doesn’t enjoy their Champions League campaign, as they sit at the bottom of the group table with just three points. They managed to beat Olympiakos on Tuesday and keep the minimal chances of continuing their campaign in the Europa League next spring. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction Despite having a mid-week effort in the Champions League, the visitors are considered favorites in this clash. We believe Marseille will meet the expectations and take advantage of the opponent’s poor form to get back home with another three points. Goals Market Prediction Head to head clashes between these two teams have been very efficient lately. On the last four occasions, neither side managed to keep the clean sheet, and those matches went over a 2.5 margin. We believe that trend will continue in this one as well. betcatalog
Marseille is sure to reap the results of Tuesday's victory over Olympiacos, but the visitors will be happy if they finally get out of the Champions League and advance their momentum in the French championship. Nimes have a number of defensive problems and have given a worrying set of results in recent weeks, so we support Marseille to make their fifth win of the week. betcatalog
Montpellier would normally be afraid to host the champions at home, but Paris Saint-Germain have the Champions League as their primary goal at the moment and could rest some of their big stars with the Champions League in mind in a few days. Given the strong form of the hosts in recent weeks, we can see Montpellier having a hard time with the champions this weekend MONTPELLIER vs PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN @@ Both team to score, odds 1.
StefanBB
Lille vs Monaco Lille has a very good Ligue 1 campaign as they sit in the 2nd place, being only two points behind PSG. However, they booked just one victory in the past five rounds, making them slip from the top spot. The hosts suffered only one defeat in the domestic campaign, as they lost to Brest one month ago. Burak Yilmaz and the lads have been pretty efficient this season, while their teammates from the backline are doing a great job. Along with PSG, Lille is the best defensive side in the competition. Christophe Galtier’s side conceded only two goals at home ground in six matches played so far and missed the chance to win twice. Thanks to a 2:1 victory over Sparta Prague on Thursday, Lille secured their place in the Europa League’s knockout stage. However, the home side needs to get back on the winning track in the domestic championship as well if they want to keep challenging the very top. Monaco enjoys an excellent run as they booked four straight wins. That streak launched them to the 4th position, and now, they have the same number of points as their rivals. Although Niko Kovac’s side isn’t a very tight one, they are the second most efficient team in the competition. Definitely, the biggest victory came two rounds ago when Cesc Fabregas and the lads managed to beat PSG. They trailed 2:0 at half time, but Kevin Vollan’s brace and a late penalty brought them valuable three points. However, the visitors need to improve their away performances, as they booked two wins and three defeats at away grounds. Nevertheless, Monaco doesn’t have an extra effort in continental competitions this season, and they can focus only on the Ligue 1 campaign. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction Lille is struggling in the domestic competition lately, while Monaco is on an excellent run. The visitors can remain undefeated in this one, and this game could end in a draw. Goals Market Prediction Both sides have been very productive this season, and we expect to see an attractive game. Both teams are capable of scoring, and we think the nets won’t remain intact in this one. betcatalog
We expect a fairly comfortable victory for a Lyon team that is full of scorers, in contrast to the Mets who play without the injured top scorer Nian. The triples of Ekampi, Depay and Dembele are a significant advantage for all teams, which will help Garcia's team to create a fourth consecutive victory before the match against Paris Saint-Germain next weekend.
