calva decoy
It's nice to see ITV 3 & 4 hosting 'Live' Sunday racing most weekends , shame they'll probably be lots of non runners at Goodwood but one that has caught my eye a 4 time winner on soft & placed 4 times from 20 career starts is 225- Alladel 11/2 betfair ew. Trotter
1.15 Goodwood - Bealach - win at 9/2 bet365 bog Eve Johnson-Houghton won this Seller in 2014, 2016 and 2017 but hasn't had a runner in it since Is that just a quirk or does she target this humble Selling Race when she she has a likely sort ? Seems a bit unlikely that trainers target specific selling races but this is a valuable one with 8K and a Class 4 so maybe she does edited to add ......... first run since wind op and trainers only runner at the meeting. Bathtime For Rupert
12.45 Goodwood - 2pts win Grand Scheme @ 4/1 Bet365 Ran with promise on debut over 6f but on pedigree will definitely need further by Territories out of a middle distance dam. Stayed on late that day in a decent race and will relish the extra couple of furlongs today. His sire relished soft ground so conditions shouldn't faze this one and looks a likely winner to me. 1.50 Goodwood - 1pt win Point In Time @ 11/1 Bet365 Wasn't quite so good last time over 1m6f but I think 1m4f with some ease in the ground is spot on for this one and has plenty of form that would see her involved here. Back down to a winnable mark and this would be easier than some races she's competed in so well worth a go at a double figure price. 2.25 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Woven @ 10/1 Bet365 Backed this one at Ascot last time when a bit disappointing but has a chance on its previous form and has been dropped a couple of pounds for that effort. Not the quickest but generally finishes off races quite well and has won over 7f so the extra stamina on this ground might help and it's interesting this would be its first run on testing ground being by Dutch Art and out of a Pivotal mare as it might just suit. 3.35 Goodwood - 1pt win Escobar @ 9/2 Bet365 Ran flat at York last week but I think a lot of horses well beaten there will bounce back and was an excellent 3rd at Goodwood the time before, with that form giving him every chance in this race. Seemed to improve for wind surgery that day and he's back to these conditions on soft ground which also suits. Hopefully can bounce back. yossa6133, BBBC and Shahid21
The Equaliser
One Trixie today for £1 = £4 poss return £84.25 2.25 Gd Chairman Of The Board 7/2 £2 win 2.40 Perth Imperial Eleysian £1.50 win at 6/4 3.35 Gd Happy Power £2 win at 3/1 Other Bets 1.15 Gd Salamanca School £2 win at 5/2 3.00 Gd Native Tribe £1.50 win at 9/4 3.00 Gd Its Good To Laugh 50p win at 4/1 2.40 Perth Native Fighter 50p win at 6/1 Multiples = £4 Singles = £10 I've abandoned ew betting once more and will run win bets alongside theoretical ew bets from next month to prove that ew betting is a turkey shoot Poss back later as I haven't really looked at Perth or the short priced favourite in the 4.35 at Yarmouth I'm fed up with great expectations of ANY horse winning a race so I will just focus on what I feel is a horse that is assumed to be giving its best shot =================================================================================================== It's a pity that Chairman Of The Board reared up in the stalls and it cost him the race. Also Native fighter won Imperial Eleysian's race for which I had a small saver bet. Anyway, another £4 down the swannee. The balance c/fwd is now £708.56 (£800 Bank) My singles faired better with three winners. A return of £17.38 v a £10 outlay showed a profit of £7.38. The balance c/fwd is now £311.58 (£400 Bank) Only three meetings tomorrow with about eight race qualifiers for me to look at. Gosh, I can remember the days when there were loads of meetings on a bank holiday Monday. Nostalgia isn't what it used to be. I of course acknowledge that you specialise and are very successful at this by securing extra places with various bookmakers offers. Indeed, I remember working out that it is possible to make money in this way. However, I am talking about exposing the myth of each way betting for punters who do not have the ability or time to shop around for such bargains. Good to hear from you M; I hope that you are keeping well?
MCLARKE
Yes I'm good ta, so long as I make enough for a couple of pints a day I'm more than happy. I must admit my each way system is not as successful as it used to be, I think this is due to the number of bookmaker restrictions I now face. I am using the Betfair exchange a lot more these days. Just seen in the Racing Post that this was the first winner ever in the UK to be ridden by a one-eyed jockey ! Guy Mitchell, aged 46, a racecourse Doctor, blind in one eye since aged 3, was having his 4th ride after finally getting a license last year He's tried before over 30 years to get a license but had always been turned down on medical grounds well done that man ! ........... and BH for picking it of course ..... ?
