It's a confusing week of action coming up. The big match coming up is the 2019/20 Europa League Final with Sevilla taking on Inter Milan. Meanwhile, tonight, the Europa League qualification process begins for the 2020/21 season. The odds availability is limited but we'll look to get up what we can for these small scale matches so you can give us any predictions you have. :ok

On Thursday Barry play NSI Runavik in the Faroe Islands.  Barry finished fourth in Wales last season, falling away after a good start.  I'm struggling to familiarise myself with their new signings, but there's some confidence they should challenge for third place again next season, below Wales' two professional sides.  Their hosts finished third last year, and are currently fourth, beyond that I admit Faroe Island football isn't my specialist subject.  NSI have the advantage of their season currently being up and running, and of home advantage, although the game won't be played at their home ground due to grading.  On the other hand, they are one win in four, and have a 'disappointing' European record of two wins in twenty six games.  I think Barry are a decent side for the level and with the Welsh coefficient being higher than the Faroe Islands confirming a small difference between leagues I think they have an okay chance of going through.  I've taken Barry DNB at Paddy's 7/5 as I reckon it should be a bit shorter.

I will be interested to see if Lucas Ocampos starts tonight as he is Sevilla's best attacker. He was taken off in the semi final and his reaction looked as if he knew he would miss the final. He also had a heavily strapped leg so he was obviously carrying an injury. Without him the advantage goes to Inter but they are favourites anyway.

It was a hugely disappointing result and has opened up a bigger discussion about the state of our domestic league across the Twittersphere this week. I have to admit, I thought Barry are better than they showed here. NSI Runavik really shouldn't have turned them over that easily and it's a huge missed opportunity for Barry. I've heard Wales has also lost a European qualification spot because of that result too? I do think the FAW has done the right think by introducing the new pyramid system, it's going to take a while for the changes to come to fruition. I do think something needs to be done about television coverage for the top flight. Just the whole Welsh League needs a PR makeover.

Sevilla vs Inter Milan

The 2019/20 Europa League Final is set to kick-off on Friday night at 8pm BST with La Liga club Sevilla playing Serie A runners up Inter Milan at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne. It's hard to argue against either of these two sides being in this showpiece event but with both teams showing a favour towards a more defensive set-up will we be in for a laborious encounter or will we be surprised by a glut of goals?

Sevilla's very name has become synonymous with the Europa League down the years and Julen Lopetegui's men now have the chance to write their name into the history books once again. The club has won it a record 5 times already (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, and 2016) and could extend that record to six times with a victory here. The team will need to sharpen up defensively after conceding 20 shots against Manchester United in the Semi-Final. It's now 20 matches unbeaten in all competitions for Los Nervionenses. They do have every reason to be confident heading into this game having successfully won all five of their previous appearances in a Europa League Final.

Inter Milan have come so close to a glorious return to their finest days. Antonio Conte has fine-tuned this I Nerazzurri into genuine a European power house once again. The team has scored 2 or more goals in 14 of their last 16 matches across all competitions. It is also a run that has seen them win 8 of their last 10 competitive matches. Striker Romelu Lukaku did the business for us in the last round and he's now scored in 10 consecutive matches in this competition. If you compare the Semi-Final performances of these two sides then you can understand why Inter hold the edge.

This will be the first ever meeting between Sevilla and Inter Milan in European competition. I feel that the favour has to go with Inter Milan for this one. They just look like such a well-oiled team now after a dodgy spell earlier in the campaign. Had it not been for that rocky patch then we'd undoubtedly be looking at the Serie A title winners playing here. Unfortunately, top flight Italian football is ruthless and it wasn't to be. Sevilla have done a superb job getting here but I think they'll fall short here after relying on a bit of luck and goalkeeping genius to get them here initially.
