StevieDay1983
Kasimpasa vs Istanbul Basaksehir The reigning champions of the Turkish Super Lig will continue their celebrations in this 3pm BST kick-off on Sunday afternoon at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium when Istanbul Basaksehir travel to play Kasimpasa. It's mission accomplished as far as the away team are concerned but can they end their season on a high with a win against their mid-table hosts? Kasimpasa will be pleased that they have improved on last season's 14th placed finish with the club in 11th place heading into this final league game of the campaign knowing that a win would see them finish in the top 10. Manager Fuat Capa will feel his team can cause a shock against the league winners. Inconsistent league form has held this team back this season and prevented them from breaking into the European qualification contenders. Just 1 win from their last 4 league games is a disappointing end to the season but if you look back a bit further it's still just 1 loss from their last 11 league matches. This side shouldn't be under-estimated especially given they're unbeaten at home in their last 6 league games. Istanbul Basaksehir will be celebrating for weeks after regaining the Super Lig title this season. It was the 1-0 win against Kayserispor last week that was the decisive moment. It's been party time since for the newly crowned champions. There will be a number of relieved people within the club and amongst their fans because it was all thrown into doubt after the shock 4-3 home defeat to Konyaspor a couple of weeks back. Luckily, the team has got over the line and they'll want to end their season with a win to confirm their place as Turkey's top club. Just 1 loss from their last 11 league games shows they match their hosts in the form books. This is a tough one to call. The home side are not to be taken lightly at home but they do face the league champions. I can see neither side taking the win here so backing the draw seems the best value. Given that both teams have scored in 5 of the last 7 meetings between the two sides I also think backing that outcome is sensible. A 1-1 or 2-2 draw is worth a punt as a correct score if you fancy taking a bit of a risk.
