It's the final round of La Liga matches for the 2019/20 season. It's been an eventful campaign to say the least and congratulations to Real Madrid for winning the league title. There remain some unsettled matters though heading into these final games so let's see what predictions you all have for these matches! :ok

Osasuna vs Mallorca

My final preview of the 2019/20 La Liga season is a tribute to a side I am currently managing on Football Manager 2020. I'm sorry to say that I managed to achieve what Vicente Moreno could not by keeping Mallorca up on my game. Unfortunately, they've suffered relegation back to the Seguna Division but they finish off their league campaign with an away trip to mid-table Osasuna for this 8pm BST kick-off on Sunday evening.

Osasuna are an example of how a team can earn promotion from the second tier and thrive in the top flight of Spanish football. Jagoba Arrasate has led his team to 11th in the table and they are only 3 points off the pace of the European qualification places. A vastly inferior goal difference means it's almost impossible for the team to snatch that last Europa League qualification spot but it shows how impressive a season the club has had that they are still technically in contention in the last game. Just 1 defeat from their last 7 league games including 5 wins has seen the team shoot up the table and that has been aided by just 1 loss in their last 5 home league matches.

Mallorca gave it a brave effort this season having earned promotion last year through the play-offs. Moreno's side are in 19th place and 4 points adrift of safety but they'll feel if the odd game had gone slightly differently then they could have survived. A case of so near, yet so far. It was the 7 losses from their last 10 league games that really put the final nails in the coffin. 3 defeats in their last 4 league games has also left the team going down with a whimper. It's also just one clean sheet from their last 13 league games with an average of 2.28 goals conceded every away league game. Defensive problems have clearly been an issue that were never resolved.

The odds on a home win here are surprisingly tempting given how decent Osasuna have been in recent matches and how leaky the Mallorca defence has been on the road this season. Sadly, I can see my Mallorca boys ending their season on a loss. I think they have enough about them with the right signings to bounce straight back if they can keep the likes of Joan Sastre, Aleix Febas, and Ante Budimir. Unfortunately, they'll almost certainly be unable to re-sign the loans of Fabri, Cucho Hernandez, and Takefusa Kubo so that'll be tough replacing them.

in Liga 2 anyone understands the odds of Cadiz - Albacete?

top of the table Cadiz receives lowly ranked Albacete and is a 3,9 dog at home? Albacete needs to win not to be relegated but on the other hand Cadiz needs a draw or win to be Liga 2 champion, last match of the season at home why would Cadiz not try to win??
