Despite the early hard work he stuck on well only to be beaten 2 1/4 lengths, hence good merit to his run. He looked well in a recent trial and on prior form, where he has scored a win over up-and-comer Mighty Giant, he looks well placed to be a leading hope in an open Class 4 contest. Another positive is he comes into barrier 5 after drawing wide at his past two starts. Race 6 Number 7 Hello Beauty Will have to having things to go horribly wrong for thriving three-year-old Wellington, who vies to remain unbeaten from four starts, however he enters this race off a solid run and has to be given an each-way hope. At this track and distance 14 days ago, he led them up at near eight lengths above average to the 400m, but only faded late inside the 150m, beaten 1 1/4 lengths – a solid effort. Again, he looks the sole leaders in the race, and if to be rated well, he could inject some value in the exotic bets if he can hold for a place. Sectional Time Stars Race 2 Number 9 Bright Vision His second fastest last 400m sectional in his last race had good merit to it as he also was required to exert ample energy in the middle section. The market gave him little hope that day, sent around at an SP of 145-1, however being from the in-form stable of leading trainer Ricky Yiu, he has to be respected as an improving type nearing a win. Race 3 Number 8 Judy’s Star Had clear excuses last time out went sent around the well-backed $2.70 favourite, rearing at the start and losing considerable ground. Returned a 21.90 second middle section – the fastest in the race by 0.40 seconds – as well as returning the second fastest last 400m, so plenty to like about his sixth placing. calva decoy Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) Sunday Sha Tin £20 545- Home Win 66/1 ( Coral 4 places ) 21Lb & claimers 7Lb down in weight from start of season plus down in lowest class for few seasons. £1 each way 615- War Room 6/1 ( Sky Win ) 122 day break , great draw in 2 , Purton in the plate. £3 Win 2nd 645- Jade Theatre 50/1 ( Coral 4 places ) Dropped 19Lb since start of season , claimer takes a further 7Lb off , good draw in stall 3. £1 each way. 715- Joyful Heart 5/1 ( Sky Win ) Consistent type , 2 placed efforts & 2 wins from last 5 starts , Purton booked for the ride , stall 8 ok for 8f start. £3 Win 825- Toycoon 7/1 ( Coral 4 places ) Improved each & every run , plum draw in stall 1 , did fancy Beauty Smile but draw put me off . £2.50 each way 1050- Monica 7/1 ( Betfair 4 places ) Running off a lightweight , plum draw in stall 1 , super consistent , CD winner . £2.50 each way. Posted early , alarm set , fancy HOT KING PRAWN 7.50 , BEAUTY GENERATION 9.00 & EXULTED 9.40 but watch not punt races , good luck to all ? Trotter Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 Sha Tin Group One Sprint 7.50 - A lot of these group race sprinters in HK also run in handicaps and the top performer on ratings is Hot King Prawn who recently won a handicap off 125 with several of todays opponents behind him and now reopposing on worse terms. Voyage Warrior beat him last time in a group 2 and looks to be on the up. However he is drawn wide today which will make it more difficult to make all as he did last time. Current favourite is Aethero, the only 3 year old in the field. He flopped on his reappearance but is reported working well in trackwork. As an EW shot I like Mr Stunning who is often thereabouts in the big races and is a big price.
