Linfield look a good thing as the odds suggest, I would put them in a double with Coleraine.  Coleraine are top of the league and going well, whilst Dungannon Swifts have lost their last 4 including against bottom side Warrenpoint (Warrenpoints' only points in 13 matches).

Linfield, Coleraine ... in a double pays a bit better than 4/5. (Linfield 2-0, Coleraine 2-0)

I am nowhere near as clued up with the Welsh Prem as some others, but did look at backing Newi CD (draw no bet) at 11/10 away to bottom side Carmarthen who haven't won in a while, whilst Newi CD have won their last 2. (Newi CD 2-1)

My thoughts on this weekend in Wales:

Bala haven't been the force I expected this season but have been decent enough to look certainties for the top half when the league splits.  Newtown have generally beaten the sides below them but lost to those above and look right in mid table.  They did beat Bala at home though.  I give Bala 50/50 change of winning this, give or take and I'm just about happy to take Unibet's 17/20.

Cardiff MU should have enough for Penybont but I think the price is too short.

Connah's Quay v TNS is 2nd v 3rd.  I've taken Connah's Quay/draw double chance at the general 5/6.  I think the game is priced up according to reputation rather than form and league table.  The Nomads are unbeaten this season, while TNS have three wins on the trot, but reports are they were slightly fortunate to beat Bala at home last week - Bala missed a penalty and had a late 'equalizer' ruled out - and their previous wins were against strugglers.

I don't know enough about Aberystwyth or Airbus to place a bet, although on league places and form the prices seem about right.

I've also taken Barry DNB at Caernarfon at the general 11/10.  Caernarfon are best 5/4, and I struggle to make them shorter than 6/4 so giving vale to the visitors.  Caernarfon like to retain possession and play in front of the opposition while looking for a breakthrough, while Barry's strong defence means they might be looking for a while!  So, a draw is plausible though so I've ruled that out.

Finally, I was going to leave Carmarthen/Druids alone as about right but I've taken Bang On's suggestion of Druids DNB.  Carmarthen were 'ordinary' at best at Caernarfon last week - with better finishing it could have been three times the 2-0 Caernarfon managed.  While Druids aren't as good as Caernarfon they're probably good enough not to lose.

Airbus UK vs Aberystwyth Town

Well, I was going to cover the Barry Town game again because the odds are so tasty but @Wiltshire Shot has covered what I wanted to say very well and also I really should focus on another team for a change! So, here I am covering the slightly less easy-to-call match-up between Airbus UK and Aberystwyth Town in a 2:30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium in Broughton.

Airbus UK are just about meeting expectations this season. The club is currently sat in 9th place and 5 points clear of the relegation zone. Steve O'Shaughnessy will have had the mission objective to simply stay up this season and even though recent form has been inconsistent they are still picking up enough points to keep their heads above the water line in this division. It's now three games unbeaten at home in all competitions and if they can keep that home form up then they'll be fine.

Aberystwyth Town head into this match in 10th place and also 5 points above the relegation zone. It's a couple of spots below where they finished last season but if they survive then that's all that matters. A run to the Welsh League Cup Semi-Finals has boosted their team morale and the 3-0 hammering of Carmarthen Town FC in that competition away in their last game was a positive result but it's now no win in the league since 30th August when they beat Cefn Druids 2-1 away. That said, Matthew Bishop's men are undefeated in 5 matches in all competitions with 4 of those being draws so they are a tough team to beat right now.

I'm torn between backing a home win and a draw but I think Airbus UK will likely sneak a narrow win. Aberystwyth Town are really finding it tough to win in the league and that's puts a lot of pressure on a team to avoid conceding first. Yes, they've drawn with Connah's Quay Nomads, Carmarthen Town, Cardiff Met, and Pen-y-Bont in their last four league games but I think this will be the game where their luck runs out and the home side will take the victory.
