CzechPunter
Canada to win Group F at 3.50 with Bet365 I just want to have some interest in the Davis Cup and this looks like the most interesting group bet to me. Canada have the most raw talent from group F imo, as they are fielding Raonic, FAA, Shapovalov, and Pospisil. They don't have a dedicated doubles team, but Pospisil is a great doubles player that can team up with just about anyone, so I don't see what makes them the main outsiders in Group F. Italy should have some issues with the indoors conditions, while USA are full of one-sided big hitters, which makes me think that you just can't trust them. At 3.50, I'm willing to just chance Canada here.
Crimson_Silhouette
@CzechPunter Is Raonic playing? Remember reading somewhere that he won't be making it this time.
CzechPunter
@Crimson_Silhouette He's in the line-up, but his fitness is obviously questionable. He's not the most important part of the team, however, and I think they are going to rely on Shapovalov, FAA, and someone + Pospisil in the doubles. Edit: Right, it seems that Canada might've replaced him with Schnur.
CzechPunter
Oh, so this is the new format. Three ties being played at the same time , this simply looks crazy to me.
CzechPunter
Canada wins the tie, but it's hard to be overly enthusiastic - Shapovalov and Pospisil have both played two matches today and they'll have to play again tomorrow. Yes, strange decision by the Canadian captain as Canada already had won the tie. Perhaps FAA will take one of the singles slots?
