KV Kortrijk vs Zulte Waregem

The Belgian First Division A doesn't have a huge amount of glamorous matches every week so you can see why it's not really generated a massive global following but in terms of betting there's always some matches that throw up some value. This week it's the mid-table battle between KV Kortrijk and Zulte Waregem in a 7pm BST kick-off this Saturday evening at the Guidensporenstadion.

KV Kortrijk are funnily enough a team owned by Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan. Now, I'm a bit uncomfortable with owners having more than one club but that's a discussion for another day. This is one club owned by Tan that has managed to remain in the top flight of their domestic league pyramid. The team is currently in 10th place on 11 points after 10 games but after a dour run of results Yves Vanderhaeghe's team got back to winning ways in their last game when they hammered 10 man Sint-Truiden by a 4-0 score-line at home.

Zulte Waregem will be pleased with their campaign so far. Francky Dury's side are positioned in 7th place with 16 points from 10 games in the league. This has left them just 1 point off the top four sides. Their home form is irresistible right now. Summed up by the club's 6-0 battering of Cercle Brugge in their last league game at home. Unfortunately, their away form is falling just short and letting them down a bit. It's just 1 win in their 5 league games on the road so far.

Initially, I was keen to back the home side to win this one but the more I've analysed the more I'm tempted by the draw. Zulte Waregem have drawn 3 of their away league games so far this season showing how hard they are to break down. It feels like they have a squad that can qualify for Europe. KV Kortrijk have also only lost 1 league game at home so this won't be easy. I'm very tempted by the home win price but I think the draw sneaks it.
