Veleta 6.10 Kempton (Win 15/2 SkyBet)

Veleta has yet to beat another horse home. She was last in both her races, however these were over 7 furlongs she is now down in distance and runs on the All Weather. It was interesting to note that on both occasions she came in for good support in the market 20/1 into 10/1 and 16/1 into 11/2. So she must be doing something right at Clive Cox’s yard.

Soutwill 3:40 Superefficient - 11/2 betvictor win thanks

Superefficient - from Dan Skelton yard the 7yo changed trainers in July this year was previously with Ms Michelle Duggan who also had arranged wind op the month before being transferred, Dan ran him same month and finished 5th of 9 runners beaten 21 lengths over 2m2.5f at Stratford with Bridget Andrews in saddle she also did next race the following month and improvement after yard increased her distance to 2m 7f at Worcester beaten 1.25 lengths by Hot Ryan, The yard brought her back 30 days ago to Worcester 2m7f this time Harry took over in saddle and this time finished 3rd and beaten again by Hot Ryan by 6.25 lengths although she was carrying 3lbs extra for that run. The yard had time to work on her stamina wide and bring her back in distance as she was leading over the last in last race but was one pace she's up another 1lb and Harry in saddle to gauge the improvement

2010 Kempton Beer with the Boys ew 15/2 @ William Hills

Struggled with todays racing for a solid selection. This horse was going better that its flat result last time out as it had to do some serious course correction in the last furlong. Decent apprentice on board. Ever falling handicap mark. Plus I can't resist the name after finishing in the money for last months comp!

3.10 Southwell

Each-way (1/4 odds, 2 places)  @ 16/1 (Bet 365)

Won a small-field novice hurdle on debut in September and has been kept fit through summer on the flat. The three principles all have to prove they can produce the goods after a long lay-off. Trainer Liam Bailey has his horses in decent form at the moment too.
