Bamford 31 Posted 24 September 2019 12:35pm The Safeway Open takes place this week on the PGA Tour. Set at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California, this tournament often sees a number of top players at the head of the field. This year we see 4 of the top 11 in the World, with Thomas, Cantlay, Molinari, DeChambeau in Northern California. The North Course is a classical, tree-lined track that’s set up to be scoreable at the Safeway Open. It’s not overly long at just over 7,150 yards, however the Par 72 features plenty of dog-legs. In the past 4 renewals ball-strikers in the shape of Kevin Tway, Brendan Steele (x2) and Emiliano Grillo have won here at Silverado. I'm going with 4 players this week An (28/1), Frittelli (66/1), Varner III (70/1) and Kang (125/1).
Fader 573 Posted 24 September 2019 9:15pm Back into the swing with the PGA now and the field looks abit sexier now. I'm going to take a couple of players that both have good form in this event. I'll start with Troy Merritt who had a T15 a few years back and then a T5 last year. I'll also give Reavie a chance. T22 a couple of years ago and then a T13 after that. Finally I'll take a player that is in abit of form right now in Harris English.1pt E/W C.Reavie to win Safeway 40/1 paddypower (8 places) 0.5pts E/W T.Merritt to win Safeway 90/1 paddypower (8 places) 0.75pts E/W H.English to win Safeway 66/1 coral (6 places)
