Glynn looked to be going so well, certainly looked capable of a place (first 6) at least, then stopped rather quickly, nervous wait for report now. Looked to have got kicked or jumped into another horse all so quick, haven’t watched a replay yet. Hopefully he will be sound and will have another couple of races in him this season.

Had an initial race report saying he is basically sound and no immediate issues have shown themselves in scope etc. Have watched the race again and must say I have no experience of horses whatsoever, apart from watching racing and betting on them. But if that was an empty horse with nothing more to give as sporting life write up appears to suggest it was the fastest I have ever seen. It certainly appeared from side shot that he appeared to get close to horses in front of him, but Jockey has not reported this in race report. At the speed they appeared to be going it only needed a few false strides to lose position and was then not worked hard, not sure you often get a second run out of a horse. To me he looked to be going as well as anything in the race at the point of what ever happened to stop him just wish it could be explained. Would expect a tongue tie next race at least. Wait for further reports in the coming weeks to see if anything else comes to light.

i have renewed TYT for the next term and yes Paul has said he will make a good chaser next couple of seasons, he did have a entry at the Lingfield meeting this week that went bumpers for jumpers instead would be great to see him fair round there again maybe 124 was too high a rating for today fingers crossed next run be better

Watched the race on bet 365 looked a promising run as have all his runs really. TYT up for renewal next month might have to acquire a share if I’m quick enough. Bear Ghylls runs at Exeter tomorrow who beat him first race at lingfield and has won since, only 6/4 but will watch with interest.

Safe to say 130 rating did not stop Bear Ghylls, won easy as you like. Will be at Cheltenham somewhere I would think hopefully Ballymore as I went for that as small antepost. By the way went for Take your Time in Albert Bartlett but don’t think that will happen. Although the Chepstow run he wasn’t stopping and jumped awful so has prospects.

@Alley Cat Glover i do think Take Your Time has a bright future not sure what i preferred

Chepstow poor jumping 9L 2nd place
or
Wincanton better jumping 6L 3rd Place

the fact hes placed on all starts is still very encouraging

on a side note i have a runner declared for Tuesday  In The Cove at Lingfield was lucky enough to win a owners badge for the race at the Leger Meeting if you havent been lucky enough yet its a brilliant afternoon even under the circumstances and limitations available with the virus

Only been in a year now, got my first from the wife last Xmas, Groovy Kind, not far from Nicholls in Yeovil, with everything going on not applied for any badges or stable visits yet. Would really like to see the stables and even equiprep would be worth the trip. Can’t really do week days with work and you don’t really get a lot of notice, if and when they run, also wife would probably want to tag along and was only owners until back to nothing. Have Miranda and now Blackjack with Nicholls.

My Friend Stan and Cable Guy for flat just been renewed. MFS plenty of runs and dropped like stone in the ratings, still waiting for Cable Guy to get anywhere near a racecourse.

Hi everyone - my first post after reading Billy Hills post about syndicates. I am 74yo bloke who was a betting shop manager with Mecca Bookmakers in the 80's. I have always been interested in the mathematics side of racing and soon learnt that the only winner in Racing are the bookies - but that's another story.

Just before Christmas (2020) I saw a Facebook ad for The Owners Group and got very excited. Many years ago I was in a "Racing Club" which proved quite expensive and very disappointing, a video (remember VHS?) and one which showed no horse I had and very little else happened - the runner I had was abysmal. Never again I thought.

Anyway, I decided to go for one share in Huelgoat (Oo-el-go-at) and was feeling generous so even bought a share - as a gift - for a very good friend of mine so we could follow the next year together with a shared interest. He was chuffed and so was I. Within a week I found myself also buying a share in Gylo, Genesius and later, Blame It On Sally. So far none have run but I am loving the experience and pleased to say it is a very well run Group and active on all medias.

I then decided to look around for another group and found the very attractive Chester (working name not named for racing yet) with The Racing Emporium. I have always loved the Easterby clan and so plumped for a single share in that horse too. Now this is where I begin to get concerned. So far (and it is admittedly early days), I can find little of interest on the website, have asked if they are active on facebook etc but though I got a quick reply, the last update I see on Facebook was in November so I am beginning to wonder if it's me.....or do any of you know where to look on the RE for more interest?

I now plan to have a good look around at this place because it all looks soooooo interesting. Take care everyone and stay safe (that way I might reach 75yo in May!)

Hi @Drac  owners group is fantastic i got my first share a year ago and havent looked back, so far ive had 2 winners (In The Cove and Take Your Time) and was lucky enough to win a owners badge for In The Cove in September for his run at the leger meeting at Doncaster even though with the covid measures that were in place it was a fantastic experience

Hi guys. I have a share in Dutch Decoy with Owners Group. Runs tonight at Chelmsford 19.00. Joe Fanning takes the ride and would expect him to ride prominently (he usually does!). Trainer Mark Johnston reports all well and expects a place at least. GLIYF.

No prizes for guessing which 2 OG horses I derive my username from ?

following In The Cove's excellent run on return at Lingfield this week  Richard Hannon has given him an entry next Thursday up at Newcastle   hopefully `Covey' will come on for the usual run he needs after a break and be very close should he get declared and manage to avoid a balloting out

Dear Dramatista Owner

Dramatista runs today at Southwell and Jason Hart takes the ride.

Dramatista came out of her last race well and has been fine at home since.

It wasn't a straightforward decision to run here but given Dramatista's date at the sales we felt it was a good opportunity and if she was to win well today the race on 21st January at Newcastle would be a possible chance to follow up.

Maykir sets the standard today on a surface which is very much a specialist surface and four of his five victories came at Southwell.

We will aim to ride Dramatista prominently today and out of the kickback.

I think we are priced about right today and expect her to run a big race.

Is anyone here a member of The Racing Emporium? The owners Groups is fantastic with loads of active members with shares but so far my experience of The Racing Emporium is the receipt of a photo of the horse I have a share in, a certificate and that's it? The facebook page had no posts since November until mine (which asked where everyone is). I feel this is a very poor show unless I am missing something? I hope I am as, at the moment, I have been mugged and haven't even got a black eye to show for it?

Dear Dramatista Owner

Dramatista runs today at Newcastle and Danny Tudhope takes the ride.

Dramatista came out of her race fine and Roger was keen to try her again at Newcastle today. There is a case for not running today and waiting for one of the options shown below but being optimistic I am hoping we can win today and run under a penalty if we choose. The pessimistic approach would be she could be lame following her quick run back and not be able to run in a potentially weaker race next month.

28th Jan 0-55 8f Newc
2nd Feb 0-60 7f Southwell
11th Feb 0-60 8f Newc

Looking at today's race it looks a good opportunity when looking at the opposition. There doesn't look to be much pace in the race and given we are drawn in stall 3 Danny will be keen to head towards the stands side to some degree.

We will look to hold her up and come with a late run.

Yes, I bought a share in First Folio yesterday. I have a soft spot for greys too, and I liked that it's going to be trained by a new trainer. Fingers crossed for the future!

Thank you , you know I've had a few over the years but she has been by far the most frustrating , lots of potential as a 2yro with a good pedigree  but been plagued with injury. I must admit when I put my bet on I wasnt confident, hopefully follow up before the sales .

Miranda races tomorrow in the 2.05 Yorkshire Rose Mares hurdle Class 1, Grade 2 a step up in class, only 6 runners and up against 2 good mares from Nicky Henderson. Priced up as a three horse race with the likely front runner Floressa, Miranda will like the smaller field and the galloping track at Doncaster, not sure about the going although the two Henderson horses not at their best on soft/dead ground. Miranda wants it soft but not sure about this soft. Rayna’s World should love the going. 11/4 with Skybet money back if 2nd, probably where my money will go hopefully she will put her best foot forward.

was a good ride from Harry Cobden even more for the fall he had in the previous race ---   miles the best horse in the race

Yes was a great race to watch, definitely her best result to date, Harry was great after his fall, to be fair think any good jockey could have won that race on her. Question is where to next, taken out of betfair hurdle next week, no entry at Cheltenham, not sure the course would suit her, so Wincanton Kingwell Hurdle or perhaps Aintree who knows, be interesting to see what rating she is given now, that may eliminate handicaps a bit. Wait for race report and this weeks report, she is so versatile, still think she could have a good flat race in her in those conditions.

i notice from an earlier post you have Cable Guy?  see thats got an entry for friday fingers crossed that goes well for you aswell

Yes, Cable Guy has been a bit frustrating but that’s to be expected with 2 year olds, Charlie Fellows seems positive about him, will just have to wait and see. Not looked at it yet probably will need the run and experience.

to be honest looking at that entry Cable Guy has for Friday (1845 Newcastle) you've avoided the dreaded balloting out which ive had a couple of times -  13 entries for max field of 14 so youve got past 1 hurdle

Dear Dramatista owner,

Dramatista runs today at Newcastle and Kevin Stott takes the ride.

Dramatista won nicely last time out under a patient ride and Danny was adamant we should ride her that way going forward.

We are drawn in stall 7 today which isn't a bad draw to adopt those tactics. Danny felt she would win plenty more races at Newcastle.

As usual there is no pace looking at the field but that didn't stop us last time and I will speak to Kevin about delivering her late in the race.

For me, I think she looks slightly overpriced today around 6/1.
