In August 2018, Lomu was second (a beaten favourite) in a class 3 race off a rating of 91. Off for 10 months his three runs this year have been better than the bare figures of 4,18 & 10. He returned in a class 2 race and was entitled to be rusty. It was then surprising to see Lomu backed into favourite for his second race in a class 3 at York (must be showing good homework). His last race was over 6f in the soft at Hamilton (class 2), which have stretched his stamina. Now back to 5f, in a class 3 off just 84, he will have a great chance.
