No sign of any NIFL Premiership odds available so we'll focus on the Irish and Welsh matches for the time being until they become listed. Let us know your predictions for these games. StevieDay1983 Posted August 23, 2019 Author Share Posted August 23, 2019 Cefn Druids AFC vs Airbus UK The Cymru Premier enters its second week and I'm picking one of the less fashionable games in British football for my preview. It's the clash between Cefn Druids AFC and Airbus UK on Friday night at 7:45pm BST from The Rock in Rhosymedre near Wrexham. I think it's safe to say that the best these two sides will be hoping for is survival and at a push qualification for the Europa League play-offs. Cefn Druids AFC have existed in several previous guises including Flexsys Cefn Druids and NEWI Cefn Druids. The Druids narrowly avoided relegation to the second tier of Welsh football last season. Well, I say narrowly avoided. They were 17 points clear of 11th placed Llandudno but they finished in the last spot above the relegation zone so they were positionally close. A 0-0 draw in their opening game against Newtown has seen them got off the mark straight away which will please manager Huw Griffiths. Airbus UK were promoted from the second tier after spending two seasons outside the top flight of Welsh football. Manager Steve O'Shaughnessy will be hoping his side can stay up this season but it'll be tough. They lost their opening league game 2-1 against Bala Town. It was an encouraging display but saw them come away with nothing for their efforts. The longer they remain on 0 points, the tougher it will be to keep their spirits up. This is a game the home side should be looking to win. Any promoted side is likely to be difficult to face in the opening few games of the season. Bala Town are no mugs and struggled to scrape a narrow win against Airbus UK last week. I feel it could be more of the same this week. Cefn Druids AFC should have enough to breach Airbus UK and I'm not sure that Airbus UK have the defensive stability or the attacking prowess to score more than their opponents here.
