Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim

The opening weekend of the Bundesliga season has already thrown up a surprise result with reigning champions Bayern Munich being held to a 2-2 draw against Hertha Berlin. That's your accumulator buster for this week. We must now look at the betting for one of Sunday's games when Eintracht Frankfurt play Hoffenheim in a 2:30pm BST kick-off at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt begin this campaign without their star strikers Luka Jovic and Sebastian Haller. The duo departed the club for Real Madrid and West Ham respectively in the summer and head coach Adi Hutter has gone for Dejan Joveljic as the replacement to help Ante Rebic try and get the goals this season. Is it too much of a gamble though? Frankfurt will be keen to improve on their Europa League qualification finish last season and go one step further to qualify for the Champions League.

Hoffenheim narrowly missed out on the European qualification places last season. Alfred Schreuder is the new man in charge at the club after the departure of former gaffer Julian Nagelsmann to RB Leipzig in the summer. There have been a lot of departures at the club in the summer with Joelinton, Nico Schulz, Kerem Demirbay, Reiss Nelson, and Nadiem Amiri all absentees that were on the playing squad last season. Furthermore, last season's top scorer Andrej Kramaric has only just returned from injury so is unlikely to be 100% fit.

I'm expecting an unpredictable but thrilling game here. Hutter teams always take the game to their opponents and last season Eintracht Frankfurt's matches saw over 2.5 goals scored in 70% of their games. Last season, both teams scored in 90% of Hoffenheim's away matches. I'm expecting goals to be scored but I think we could see a narrow home win in this game.
