2019 Austrian Grand Prix

Austrian GP

Decent profit from the French GP and for the first time this season we have a 7-day turn around and its straight to the Red Bull Ring in Austria.

This track opened in 2014 after years of decline and its a good track for Mercedes as a rule, they won the first four races here but in 2018 that winning run came to an abrupt end when both Hamilton and Bottas failed to finish due to mechanical issues (Hydraulics & Fuel Pump).
I fully expect the Mercs to take off where they ended last week and stroll to another victory.
Average retirements here is a rather high 4 cars per race so the value could be with the 'unders' for a change.

Unlike last week when we had a very straight forward race we could actually see some drama in Austria after Charles Leclerc stuck his Ferrari on pole. Added to the mix we have a demoted Lewis Hamilton (2nd to 4th) and a very determined 'home' driver in Max Verstappen.

As its the smallest circuit on the calendar we  have 71 laps this week so we are looking at 64 laps for the Classified drivers bets. (90%)

Leclerc is a very short 8/13 with bet365, I know he's a very promising talent but i'm not sure he should be that much of a favourite here.

Vettel starts 9th and is 9/2 to get on the podium with Hills (5/2 in places). Ferrari do look good around here and the 9/2 maybe a little value to small stakes.

Bets

Under 17.5 5/6 bet365
Vettel podium 9/2 Hills
Safety Car 'Yes" 8/13 Ladbrokes
Ricciardo Points 11/10 Corals
