England have a World Cup warm-up ODI match against Australia this coming Saturday starting at 10:30am at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. I'm keen to hear if any of you guys will be placing some cheeky pre-World Cup bets on this game to warm-up yourselves for the tournament ahead?

England vs Australia

Ah, old rivalries are reborn heading into the World Cup as England and Australia come face-to-face in a warm-up ODI that also acts as a teaser trailer for the upcoming Ashes. Proceedings begin at 10:30am from the Rose Bowl in Southampton. Which team will strike an early blow to their opponents' morale ahead of the showpiece event starting next week?

England come into this match in excellent form. A convincing 4-0 ODI series win over Pakistan has been seen as a warning by Eoin Morgan's men to the rest of their rivals ahead of the World Cup. Unfortunately, England have suffered a blow before this game with the news that Morgan himself as seemingly broken a finger and will be ruled out of the competition.

Australia are looking to return to the glory days of their one-day successes. The last time Australia took on England in an ODI series they suffered a devastating 5-0 whitewash. Even with Morgan's wisdom and quality missing it seems hard to imagine this England side falling foul to this mediocre Australian side.

It seems the sensible thing to back England even if at this short price. So many English players are in great form that even if 1 or 2 have an off day then the rest are lined up ready to take the lead. Australia lack the destructive quality required with the ball to cause any real issues and therefore I have to back an England win with Jos Buttler leading the way with the runs.
