All the attention is going to be on the relegation battle with all other issues already resolved. Will it be Caen, Amiens, or Monaco that go down? The final round of Ligue 1 matches and the two lucky teams chosen for our last preview of the season in this section are mid-table sides Nantes and Strasbourg who play in an 8:05pm kick-off on Friday night at the Stade de la Beaujoire. Nothing is on the line here but that offers some intriguing value. Nantes are in 11th place in the table and it is a solid enough finish but Vahid Halilhodzic will want to look to push on next season and really challenge for those European qualification spots. Les Canaris are unbeaten in their last 7 league matches so will come into this game confident of taking all three points. Strasbourg are currently just one place and 2 points behind their opponents in this game. Thierry Laurey will want to improve on that finish next season and that preparation starts now. Le Racing are on a terrible run of form with just 1 win in their last 15 league games. It is also no away win in the league since the 5-1 victory away to a troubled Monaco back on 19th January. All the signs point towards a home win here. Nantes might have been held to a draw in their last two league games but Strasbourg have been on holiday for a number of weeks now as their season has drawn to a low key close. I'm backing Nantes to get the win and end their season on a high with Strasbourg signing off with a whimper.
