StevieDay1983
Frosinone vs Chievo The Serie A season draws to a close this weekend and to pay tribute to the teams we won't be covering in the previews next season due to their relegation to Serie B, we're giving a last farewell to Frosinone and Chievo by previewing their clash that kicks off at 5pm on Saturday afternoon from the Stadio Benito Stirpe. Frosinone are staring next season in the Italian second tier in the face. Marco Baroni's attempts to save the club from going down since his appointment back in December fell short and the club is currently in 19th place and 14 points adrift of safety. It's been a formality for a while now and 1 draw and 5 defeats from their last 6 league matches they've departed Serie A with a whimper. Chievo have been up against it all season. The club started the season with a 3 point deduction and remain rooted to the bottom of the table having picked up just 2 wins all season with 16 points to their name. Three managers have tried and failed to turn things around with Domenico Di Carlo being the latest recruit. Just 1 win in their last 18 league games has seen their hopes of survival die a long time ago. 6 defeats in their last 9 league games suggests morale is sinking to an all-time low. Matches like this are always fascinating to see how the two sides react. The next win always seems a million miles away during bad spells like the ones these two clubs are enduring. Chievo have only picked up 9 points on the road all season with only Empoli recording a worst set of results away from home. However, they visit a Frosinone side that have picked up just 8 points at home and have lost 8 of their last 9 league games at home. It's tough to see which way this game will go but given the value on offer it would be difficult to resist placing a cheeky bet on Chievo to end this season on a high.
