100 Value Bets

Another attempt to break the duck for non-RL bets, in tomorrow's Highlanders v Bulls game.

18 points on Li to score a try at 15/8 with Spreadex.

A fairly typical scenario here, with the spreads suggesting a player should be around the 7/5 mark and even money being the best price elsewhere. To be honest, on the stats it's an ok bet at 15/8 rather than great and I wouldn't be touching it at evens or worse. The unusual thing here is that it's Spreadex offering best price given that the bet is flagged by the spreads. Rare for them to offer a fixed odds price that's out of line with their spread.

A try for Hunt so 1 out of 3 and a small profit so far today. Had a look at this evening's Superleague games and, disappointingly, they just yield a single bet.

10 points on Handley to score a try in the 1st half at 9/2 with Lads

Oops, that's in Wakefield v Leeds. No tries in the first half so the bet is a losing one.

Clermont v Lyon

Moala to score a try at 4/1 PP or 365

10 points on that one, as per the standard stake to return 50 points. Also a try for 5/1 Morgan and a goal for 2/1 Parris. Frustratingly, the BBC left me labouring under the misapprehension that 6/1 Abdull had also scored a try for London. Despite that, 3 winners from 10 still makes for a modest 9.5 points profit. And I've broken the duck on non-Rugby League winners as well.

17 winners from 47 bets (36.17%)

784.5 points staked, 949.4 points returned

+164.9 points

ROI 21.02%

Argentina Women v Japan Women:

25 points on 20+ bookings points for Argentina at evens Skybet

A definite odds on shot for me. Happy to take their prices for the higher bands as well but this is the bet that I feel is most demonstrably value.

Just under a month in and the half century is reached. Castleford v St Helens:

14 points on Aston to score a try at 11/4 Betway

16 points on Kelly to score a try at 9/4 PP

12.5 points on Eden to score a try in the 1st half at 3/1 with Lads

Australia Women v Brazil Women:

20 points on Kerr to score at 6/4

5 points on Kerr to score 2 or more at 9/1

3 points on Kerr to score in both halves at 16/1

1 point on Kerr to score a hat trick at 50/1

All with Lads (the anytime price available with a few firms). Spreads seem right in having her much closer to an even money shot to score, all the fixed odds prices about her look a little generous to me.

Can't believe Aus scored 3 and none for Kerr but Marta obliged for Brazil and Kelly scored a try (3 to be precise). 2 from 8, 86.5 points risked and 104.5 returned for an 18 point profit.

19 winners from 57 bets (33.33%)

918 points staked, 1053.9 points returned

12 points on Hurrell to score a first half try at 7/2 with Lads
