Valladolid v Valencia

Valencia -1.5 Asian Handicap

Valencia’s task is easy, if they can better Getafe’s result against Villarreal they will clinch 4th place.

Now that Valladolid are safe from relegation they have nothing left to play for which will suit Valencia

Valladolid’s last 3 home games against similar opposition (Atletico, Sevilla, and Real Madrid) have been very open contests with an average of 3.61xG per game (average 4 goals per game)

When these sides last met at the Mestalla, Valencia dominated from start to finish but came away with only a 1-1 draw. In term of expected goals, this was one of the “unfairest” results of the La Liga season.

Valencia have averaged 2.1 goals scored per game in their last 10 with teams from the Bottom 6 in the table

Verdict: This would have been a tough game for Valencia if Valladolid still had something to play for, but they don’t. Expect Valencia to run up the score as they look to seal 4th place and Champions League Football next season.

Celta Vigo vs Rayo Vallecano

The last games of the La Liga 2018/19 season are almost upon us and there are still a few matters to resolve. We're looking at the bottom end of the table for some value where Celta Vigo will look to secure their safety against an already-relegated Rayo Vallecano in this 7:45pm kick-off at the Abanca-Balaidos on Saturday evening.

It's not really been a vintage season for Celta Vigo. Fran Escriba was brought in during March to try and rectify the poor work done by previous head coaches Antonio Mohamed and Miguel Cardoso. There's been a marked improvement during his tenure with 4 wins, 3 draws, and 4 defeats. Those results have moved Celta to 17th in the table and it would take extraordinary circumstances to see them relegated now with them 3 points ahead of 18th placed Girona with a far superior goal difference.

Rayo Vallecano are playing Liga 2 football next season. It's disappointing but not entirely surprising for Michel's men. Just 2 wins and 2 draws from their final 16 league games confirmed their drop into the second tier of Spanish football. The club also possesses the worst away record in the division with just 10 points gained on the road across the campaign.

I'm really struggling to see anything other than a Celta Vigo survival party here. It was looking ominous for the Galician club during several stages of the season. Under Escriba, there are signs of life and a bit more optimism ahead of next season. I can see them sending Rayo Vallecano packing into the second tier with a comfortable home win.

Alaves vs Girona: Alaves -1 Draw

Girona are a team losing by one goal in roughly 1/3rd of La Liga matches - 11 out of 37 matches and 4 out of 18 away games. Girona is practically in Segunda Division and topscorer Stuani will not play vs Alaves. The Uruguayan has scored 19 goals or 52% of Girona's total La Liga goals.

Manager Eusebio cried after loss vs Levante and apologised to everyone involved with the club but he is widely expected to be sacked and most of Girona's best players to be sold on a discount after relegation.

Only Betis and Leganes's wins by 1 goal difference at home are higher percentage from total home wins than Alaves' 83% out of 6 home games. Alaves has only won 6 out of 18 home games, losing 4 times and drawing 8 games. Alaves has not won at home since 11 February and will try to finish strongly the season in front of home crowd after missing European football. The team has won only 2 out of 10 home La Liga games in 2019

Alaves has already confirmed that Abelardo will not be manager of the team next season. After season and a half, in which the team has gone from the relegation zone last season to touch the European places this year, the time has come to separate the paths of club and coach after not reaching an agreement to renew his contract for the next season. The manager wants to say goodbye to the home crowd with a victory that leaves a good taste and the team with 50 points. Most importantly Alaves can be higher up the table and get paid more from TV rights & La Liga revenues.

Last Alaves home game vs Girona in Copa del Rey ended 2:2 after Girona equalizer in the 96th minute. Head-to-head stats show that only 1 out of 14 games between Alaves and Girona ended with more than 1 goal difference. All 4 of Alaves' wins vs Girona were with 1 goal difference.

Bookies give lowest odds in whole round of matches that this game will be decided by 1 goal. I am backing the home side to win it with 1 goal difference as I can not see a miraculous Girona win without Stuani.

Espanyol and Sochiedad are fighting for a European position in the next season's cups, they only need the victory today. They have to give it all for the points and I expect to attack from the start, it is very likely that both teams will score
