Arsenal's last hopes for the first four were lost, after the unbelievable 1-1 against Brighton on Sunday. A result that hurts the gangs, but they do not have time to look back, since the only way to save the year and play the time at the top inter-league event is to win the Europa League. Major score of 3-1 from the first race, but nothing is over yet. Holding defenseman Holding, left Back Becker, midfielder Ramsey and Welsbock.
Arsenal qualifier, but Valencia has not said its last word and can at least reach victory

CF VALENCIA vs ARSENAL FC @@ CF VALENCIA, odds 1.95

Eintracht Frankfurt is likely to have another mind, as it does not explain the heavy defeat from Leverkusen in the league with 6-1 and even a score formed from the very first part of the game. Fatigue factor was clearly more influenced by the fact that the German team is constantly demanding games in the Bundesliga and Europa League. Where she again turns her attention to the great rematch in London and after 1-1 of the first race. More important, of course, is the absence of all, that of the main offensive Aler, who is injured. Let's go with the goals

Chelsea vs Eintracht Frankfurt

OK, so if everyone has just about recovered from those two exhilarating Champions League Semi-Final matches we hardly have time to draw breath and we move on to the Europa League Semi-Finals that have the potential to be almost as explosive. First up, it's Chelsea versus Eintracht Frankfurt in an 8pm kick-off at Stamford Bridge with the teams deadlocked at 1-1 after the first leg.

Chelsea are no doubt delighted that they have confirmed their place in next season's Champions League after securing a top four finish in the Premier League. Maurizio Sarri has come under heavy criticism this season but the bottom line is that come the end of this campaign he could well have led the Blues to Champions League qualification, a domestic cup final, and potentially a European cup trophy win. Not bad for a manager that was being slated for his "Sarriball" approach.

Eintracht Frankfurt are the team standing in Chelsea's way. The draw from the first leg hands a slight advantage to Chelsea but the Bundesliga side are no mugs. They'll be coming to Stamford Bridge with every intention of upsetting the odds. It will be interesting to see how they react to losing 6-1 to Bayer Leverkusen on the weekend including conceding all six goals in the opening 36 minutes. Adi Hutter will demand a reaction and he'll look to highly-rated striker Luka Jovic for inspiration.

The good news for Chelsea is that history sides with them after the first leg. All four of the previous teams to draw their first away leg in the Europa League Semi-Finals have gone on to reach the Final. Chelsea have also never lost a home European game against German opposition. What is even more impressive is that they've won 7 and drawn 2 of those 9 games keeping 7 clean sheets during the process.

It is also Eintracht Frankfurt's chance to reach a first major European cup final since 1980. That's a monkey on the shoulder. Chelsea won the Europa League relatively recently under the management of Rafa Benitez back in 2013 so they know what needs to be done.

I can see Chelsea adopting a business-like approach to this game. Eden Hazard is a different player at home and I think he'll be influential in a victory. I'm not convinced the Blues can keep a clean sheet but I'd be surprised if they don't get the job done within 90 minutes.

Valencia vs Arsenal

The second leg of the other Europa League Semi-Final between Valencia and Arsenal is also kicking off at 8pm tonight from the Mestalla. The English team hold a 3-1 lead from the first leg heading into this encounter. It seems a firm advantage but if anything over the past couple of nights has taught us it's that we shouldn't consider any two-legged tie to be finished after the first 90 minutes.

Valencia got what they deserved at the Emirates Stadium. We suspected their weak defence might crumble and it did. Marcelino has some serious issues to address otherwise his team will go crashing out of this competition with a heavy defeat on aggregate. They'll need to defy history because no team has lost the first leg of a Europa League/UEFA Cup Semi-Final by two goals or more and progressed since Espanyol managed it against Club Brugge back in 1988.

Arsenal know that winning the Europa League is their only hope of qualifying for the Champions League next season. Unai Emery has won this competition three times before with ex-club Sevilla. The Gunners have been far from convincing on the road this season but surely they can't throw a two goal lead away right? :loon

If there is one manager that knows how to navigate his way through this tournament then it's Emery. The former Valencia manager has won his past 18 knockout matches in this competition. However, he last suffered elimination from this competition back in 2011/12 at the Semi-Final stage against... yep, you've guessed it... Valencia!

The Gunners also have history on their side in the fact that they have not lost a single one of their 27 previous knockout matches in European football where they have led from the first leg by two goals or more. It's also hard to believe that Valencia haven't reached a European cup final since 2004 when they won the UEFA Cup under Rafa Benitez.

I'm torn over whether to back Arsenal to win this game or not. I think they know how much is riding on this game. If they sit back and try to preserve this aggregate lead then it could invite trouble. Valencia's weakness is their back-line. They know Marcelino's side need to attack. It would make sense for Emery to take the fight to the Spanish side tonight. I think he will and I think we'll see a high-scoring encounter with Arsenal qualifying on aggregate.

chelsea eintracht frankfurt

some team news: sebastien haller is in the squad for frankfurt and rebic (probably their best player) will play after being suspended for the first leg. Add in jovic and they could have a potent forward line. Hopefully hazard starts and i expect goals. I'll try a sell of the first and second frankfurt goals at 63.5 and 84 (sporting index) and a few outlandish scores 3-2 (28/1) 2-3 (100/1) 3-3 (100/1)  4-2 (40/1)  4-3 (100/1) betfair and skybet
