StevieDay1983 Posted May 3, 2019 Author Share Posted May 3, 2019 Borussia Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim Bundesliga matters are drawing to a close with a lot still to determine but I'm going to cover a game where two sides are still vying for European qualification when Borussia Monchengladbach host Hoffenheim in a 2:30pm kick-off this Saturday at Borussia-Park. Borussia Monchengladbach are positioned in 5th place and only 3 points behind the Champions League qualification spots. Dieter Hecking's side are throwing it away at the moment though. It's now back-to-back defeats in the league and it's advantage to Eintracht Frankfurt. Even Europa League qualification could be in doubt if they lose in this game. Hoffenheim are one of those sides waiting to take advantage of Borussia's loss of form. Julian Nagelsmann's side are in 7th place and just 1 point outside the Europa League spots and 4 points off Frankfurt's pace. It was 5 wins in 6 league games for Hoffenheim before their disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Wolfsburg last weekend. Even though Borussia Monchengladbach have only drawn 2 of their home league games this season I feel this could be a game where it might happen. Neither of these sides are going to come into this game brimming with confidence and they'll want to take something home with them. I don't think either side would be disappointed in a draw.
