bluemal Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 Musselburgh 2.30 Rioja Day - 12/1 bet365 e/w thanks Rioja Day - from Jim Goldie yard he also owns the 9yo now after the Ayrshire Racing & Partner gave him up in 16 Jan 2019 Jim has ran him four times since owning him twice on AW at Newcastle and twice hurdling at Ayr and here 12 days ago over 2m 4f GS off 77 mark with 7lb claimer in saddle when 6th of 14tn runners he had no impression 2 from home and finished beaten 10.5 lengths , Jim bring him back to same track but over a shorter distance of 2m which he ran at Ayr when 3rd last month , He's down in weight to 10st 6lbs that's 8lbs less plus same jockey Danny McMenamin as last race and still gets 7lbs off the same 77 mark he last ran at which is Jim's style in handicaps looking for value in handicaps. Richard Patrick in his quest to become champion conditional jockey had just one ride today at Chepstow in South Wales and tomorrow he travels nearly 400 miles to Musselburgh in Scotland, again for just one ride. A round trip of 800 miles, what a journey! The trip can only be worthwhile if he rides a winner. I shall take the hint.
