The visiting team is fourth in the standings together with Marseille, for them one victory one draw and three defeats in the last five games. The Dijon has one of the most perforated defenses in the league while the guests cash in and score goals very easily. The home team is much lower both in terms of results and technique. it was interesting to see rennes having a go in europa league recently. it finished 3-3 against betis in first leg and if they go to spain chasing a win on thursday they could come back home very tired and for that reason i fancy marseille to win. they are going to be fresher

Nantes vs Bordeaux

Ligue 1 throws up a mid-table battle where the winners could use it to set themselves up for a boost in form and a crack at the European qualification spots where as the losers may well get sucked into a relegation dog fight. It's Nantes versus Bordeaux at the Stade de la Beaujoire this Sunday in a 2pm kick-off.

Nantes are sat in 14th place on 27 points and a clear 7 points of the relegation zone. There's no crisis yet but club chairman Waldemar Kita might start to worry if results don't improve soon. Just 1 win in their last 7 league matches is poor form and manager Vahid Halilhodzic will be hoping the club can earn just their second home win in the league of 2019 here.

Bordeaux are situated just one spot above Nantes in the table in 13th place. However, Gus Poyet's men are 5 points clear of their opponents in this game. So the pressure is on them slightly less than the hosts. Unfortunately, their form isn't much better than that of Nantes. Just 1 in their last 5 league games has left fans concerned.

A major issue for Bordeaux this season has been their away form. Poyet's team have lost 7 of their 12 matches on the road with just 2 wins coming all season. Only Caen and Amiens have picked up fewer points on their travels. It's a problem that could cost them dearly here.

I may well be throwing caution to the wind here but I think Nantes are due a home win. What better time to get it than against a team that have only won 1 away match in the league since 23rd September. Nantes are hit and miss at home with 4 wins, 4 draws, and 4 losses in the league but I can see them taking all three points here.

Sajtion, I agree with your Rennes tip. I think they'll be prioritising the Europa League and will feel they can get something in this second leg. Well worth betting against them. :ok
