Young Phoenix - from Martin Keighley yard the 7yo in no wins in the nine runs in his NH career but he's been placed in a hurdle race and a NH flat race with that hurdle place coming 22 days ago at Fakenham 2m 7.5f GS Class 4 race when he finished 2nd beaten 0.5 lengths by Todd from Olly Murphy yard with Richard Johnson who was always in command in the run in, It was a good effort by Young Phoenix with visor on for first time off 89 mark the handicapper hit him with 2lb penalty and off 91 today with Paddy Brennan keeping the ride with visor on and a drop to class 5 may just be enough to get in the frame again

Can I point out a rule amendment:

As from today the following rule applies

Quote

Any race can be selected as long as it is covered by the Racing Post / ATR and appears on  Oddschecker. Races outside of the UK must have a price quoted and the time of the race can be no later than the last UK/Ire race for that day. (no tote dividends acceptable). Eg; USA, SA, FRA, JAP, HK, AUS etc...

The reason for this is that one or two players are posting late races in America as i'm guessing all the racing has finished in the UK by the time they see a computer that day.

This could cause a problem especially at the end of the month when we need to get the tables completed and award prizes and we are waiting on the result of the 11.23 from Timbuktu. There are enough races in the UK and Ireland without resorting to those tactics.

Arcade Attraction - 1.45 Taunton (ew @ 10/1 with William Hill)

Stepped up on his hurdles debut at Ludlow last time when finishing third over two miles. Pulled hard in the early stages of the race before making headway from three out. Stayed on after the last without really troubling the front two. Should continue to progress and has a similar race in him.
