allyhibs
Hibs v Rangers After Hibs just beating Celtic, the bookies somehow have Rangers as odds on favourites and Hibs priced as high as 4.00 in some places. The value is obviously on Hibs and a repeat performance can defeat a Rangers side who have a poor away record. Hibs @ 4.00 For a few seasons now, Rangers have had problems with defending set pieces, I'm not convinced Stevie Gerrard has fixed this, with dead ball specialist Stevie Mallan delivering the crosses, big Ryan Porteous could get on the end of one, he's fantastic in the air and knows where the goals are for a centre half. Ryan Porteous Anytime Scorer @ 13.00 just for fun Edited December 19, 2018 by allyhibs StevieDay1983, Gidds and Tiffy

Aberdeen should beat Dundee but the odds are too short. Dundee are a tougher team now with the new manager though, it's not a game I would touch. StevieDay1983
Portsmouth vs Sunderland One of the games of the weekend comes from Fratton Park in a 3pm kick-off this Saturday when League One promotion contenders Portsmouth and Sunderland go head-to-head. Having just finished watching the Sunderland Netflix documentary "Sunderland 'Til I Die" I'm keen to see how they're getting on this season. Portsmouth are performing brilliantly under the experienced tutelage of Kenny Jackett. Pompey are top of the division with 48 points from their 22 league games so far. The club is now 4 points clear of 2nd placed Luton and it's beginning to feel like this could be their year to return to the second tier of English football. Sunderland have had their fair share of turmoil of the past decade but it looks like things might be turning around with new owner Stewart Donald helping to steer the club in the right direction. Jack Ross is doing a fantastic job in the managerial hot seat with the Black Cats in 3rd place on 43 points from 22 league games. It's a tight game to call and the fact that the two previous encounters between these two sides have both ended in draws shows you the tone the game could have. Both sides are in confident mood having only lost one of their last six competitive matches. Throw into the mix that Portsmouth have kept three clean sheets in their last six matches and Sunderland have only conceded three goals in their last four matches. It's going to be a gritty affair and I'm not sure the deadlock will be broken come the final whistle. StevieDay1983
St Johnstone vs Rangers The SPL continues to throw up surprises with the title race wide open for the first time in decades. Rangers will be looking to keep the pressure up on Celtic, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, and Hearts with a win in this 12:15pm kick-off this Sunday against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park. St Johnstone have been plodding along under manager Tommy Wright. The club is in 7th place but winning their game in hand would take them into the top six. Defeat in their last game against Motherwell was only the club's first defeat in 9 league matches. It will be interesting to see how the team reacts here. Rangers have suffered the disappointment of elimination from the Europa League but Steve Gerrard's men bounced back well in their league match against Hibernian. The Gers might have drawn 0-0 but Gerrard was proud of the performance and it's anyone's guess how they didn't win. I was going to back Rangers to win this game but one pairing of stats concerns me. St Johnstone have drawn 4 of their 9 home matches this season and Rangers have drawn 4 of their 9 away matches so far. Neither side is brimming with confidence and I can't help but feel this will be a close one that neither side will take full points. If I was pushed then I might be tempted to back Rangers but I just think the draw seems more likely. It's against what the bookies think but I just have a funny feeling Rangers will struggle to break St Johnstone down.
