avongirl
From Irish Tom on APAT forum. http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php/topic,20975.0.html My favourite time of year is approaching, so it's time to call for team entries for the UK Team Championship, this Season to be played at the Grosvenor Casino, Blackpool over the weekend of Friday 25th January 2019 as follows: Jan 26th, Sat 14:30 Main Event: UK Team Championship (NLHE) (Button Ante) Freezeout Day 1 £75+£12 - 15k/45 mins (max 280 players) (11 levels - estimate end 00:15) Jan 27th, Sun 12:00 Main Event: UK Team Championship (NLHE) Day 2 (estimated end 23:00) The Main Event will be supported by a series of Side Events which are open to any poker player, whether playing in the UK Team Championship or not. Interested Poker clubs, groups, forums, societies, leagues and communities etc need to register their interest in entering a team by the closing date Saturday 20th October 2018, by sending a PM on APAT website to myself via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE and providing the following details: Team Name Team Captain poc - name, email address/mobile number/Facebook contact Links to group/team associated Website/Facebook/Twitter/Forum etc Successful teams will be confirmed on Sunday 21st October.UK TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Teams with 8 players each will compete for both a team and an individual prize pool in the UK Team Championship, which will be run as an MTT with a buyin of £75+£12 per player. Entry is therefore £87 per player and this will be required to be paid via an Online Holding Tank by INDIVIDUALS - co-ordinated between myself and all Team Captains - each team member will therefore need to have a Grosvenor Poker online account to enable them to register online to play in the UK Team Championship (can download Grosvenor software via HERE). The total prizepool of £75 per player will be paid out on a 50/50 basis to the top 3 teams and the top 18 (tbc) individual players from the MTT. The top 120 (tbc) players in the MTT will score points for their team with 1st = 120 pts down to 120th = 1 pt. Teams are to wear their own matching colour team shirts for both days of the event - if desired, EMBROIDERED POLO SHIRTS OR T-SHIRTS are available from APAT at a subsidised cost of £15 per shirt (reduced from £18). Shirts include the APAT logo and UK Team Championship event details and team name embroidered onto the shirt breast, and other wording or team logo embroidery is also possible for an additional cost depending on requirements). To order send a PM via APAT Website to myself via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE. This event has seen huge demand in previous years, and we are expecting similar interest this year. The event has also on occasion previously suffered from "team last minute dropouts", and therefore, as we did previously, we will again maintain a reserve list and require all individual team members to pay the entry fee of £87 via Grosvenor Poker in advance by 9pm on Sunday 6th January 2019. Any team failing to meet the buyin (all 8 members) deadline will have their team entry offered to teams on the reserve list. Any team that pays the full buyins (all 8 members) and has a last minute need to drop out will have their entry offered to the next team on the reserve list and whichever team takes up this option will have their buyins used to reimburse the team that had to drop out. The event structure can be found HERE. APAT Player Of The Year Leaderboard Ranking Points will be awarded for this event, and it is an OPEN event - ie open to ANY poker player. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to post on this thread or contact me personally by PM on APAT Website via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE. avongirl
I have made the application on behalf of Punters Lounge team. We are reigning champions for this event so hopefully this year there won't be a sweat to see if we have a place. Therefore please would players interested in being considered for the PL team reply to this thread. Players who formed last year's winning team are all still active PL members and likely to be given preference, however please still respond if you would be interested in any spare places which arise. ian309
I don't want to put anyone's nose out, but please put me down as a sub if any of last year's champions can't make it Edited October 15, 2018 by ian309 avongirl
Nosey-P
It's always difficult to pick a team, even more difficult when you are the defending champs, do you stick with the same team that won giving them the chance to defend it or pick a new team giving others the chance to play for PL. I was a late replacement last year so I suppose I would be the first to fall on the sword, however I would love the chance to retain the title Please put my name in the hat Good luck Helen in picking a team avongirl and Danshot

avongirl
OK guys, let's do this http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php/topic,20985.0.html Whilst restricted to a maximum number of 30 teams/280 players, sorry to those who didn't make it this year - the following will compete in the APAT Season 12 UK Team Championship at Grosvenor Blackpool over the weekend of Friday 25th January 2019: Ace High Poker All In League Angie's Room APAT Green APAT Black BCPC Big Potatoes Blue Blood BLUFF Europe ColdstreamPKR Degens East Herts Poker League Edgworth Cricket Club Essex Home Game Fatdog Poker FISO Frome Poker Group Geordie Poker Grosvenor Blackpool Hetton Social Poker HitSquad JoeBeevers.com KrackedKings LBPN London Poker Meetup LPPL Green LPPL Black Malvern Poker Club Midlands Poker Forum Punters Lounge Raise for Jack ScotSquad Sutton Poker Team Grosvenor The Kav Cocktails We draw your attention to the following: The tournament will be run as an MTT with teams of 8 players competing for both a team and an individual prize pool, paid out on a 50/50 basis to the top 3 Teams and the top 18 Individuals. Points will be scored based on individual player finishing positions, and will start to be earned on Day 2 by all remaining players on a 'reverse position' scoring position - eg; 100 wins 1 point, 1st wins 100 points. The buyin is £75+£12 per player and is to be paid in advance via a Grosvenor Poker Online Holding Tank by each individual. Payment by individuals will be co-ordinated via myself and each Team Captain - so Team Captains, please take a keen interest in ensuring that each of your members have a Grosvenor Poker account (download via http://www.apat.com/grosvenor-poker/) and that you know their table/screen nickname so you (we) can identify them in the Online Holding Tank. The Grosvenor Poker Online Holding Tank will be available mid-November and Team Captains will all be advised when it is live in the lobby - and also advised of the password for their team members. Teams are to wear their own matching colour team shirts for both days of the event - if desired, EMBROIDERED POLO SHIRTS OR T-SHIRTS are available from APAT at a subsidised cost of £15 per shirt (reduced from £18) and in addition to the APAT logo and UK Team Championship event wording embroidered onto the shirt breast, can be branded with the Team Name plus player name or nickname (other wording or team logo embroidery is also possible but will cost more depending on requirements) - to order send a PM to myself via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE. Shirts ordered via APAT will be available from the Friday night in the casino. On the day, teams will be required to have a team photo taken PRIOR to the event starting - therefore please arrive by 1:30pm latest to allow the timely completion of this and not hold up the event starting because you're too late! The event has on occasion previously suffered from "team last minute dropouts", and therefore, as we did previously, we will again maintain a team reserve list. All individual team members need to pay the entry fee of £87 via Grosvenor Poker in advance by 9pm on Sunday 6th January 2019. Any team failing to meet the buyin deadline for all 8 members will have their entry offered to teams on the reserve list. Any team that pays the full buyins and has a last minute need to drop out will have their entry offered to the next team on the reserve list and whichever team takes up this option will have their buyins used to reimburse the team (via APAT) that had to drop out. Team Captains need to inform APAT of their team members' names by Sunday 6th Jan 2019 LATEST, either by sending a PM to myself via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE. A full list of all team members will be published to the APAT Forum thereafter, along with the table/seat draw. The event structure can be found HERE - the UK Team Championship has a 15k Starting Stack. APAT Player Of The Year Leaderboard Ranking Points will be awarded for this event. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to post on this thread or don"t hesitate to contact me personally by PM via HERE or via Facebook Messenger HERE. teaulc

Nosey-P
I see that after the PL run away win last year they have changed the points slightly, only points for those who make day 2.
Danshot
Yeah I noticed this and we are probably the only reason they changed it because the structure has been top half of the field since this event start if my research is correct. So guess the plan is to make day 2 everyone I believe a comprise could of been a top 100 , I can definitely see some tanking and very short stacks folding there way to day 2 , creating a new issue that is potentially worse than a runaway winner , now teams that have just 2 players run up stacks for Day 2 will have a better chance to still be in with a shout , so while it keeps it exciting till end up often I think it relies a little less on team performance overall , just my IMO and looking to build a stack for FT either way. I agree with this, less of a team event. The first couple of years it was top
