richard-westwood
Where do you start with a race so huge and competitive ....well for me this race is just a bigger longer version of arc......and if I was riding in it if want to be drawn lowish...to get good early position and avoid traffic problems ....preferably as near to inside rail as possible so as to minimise distance ran and maintain energy reserves at business end .......so ...for starters in interests of finding good bets I'm only going to consider bottom let's say 14 draws and be generous .....that chops 20 horses leaving .... 1 it's a free bee 2 just in time 3 the Glasgow warrior 4 cliffs of Dover 5 melinoe 6 fun mac 7 cleonte 8 golden spear 9 limini 10 Stanley 11 blue rambled 12 here and now 13 low sun 14 whisky sour Next we want to be in form and fit so any horse out of form or only couple runs this season are booted out So we lose it's a free bee ....melinoe...blue rambler ....low sun ...and whiskey sour ....so 34 has become 9 Need good extended distance form ....so lose Glasgow warrior .....leaves 8 so I'll rate Poor recent ratings loses here and now ....fun mac .....golden spear Leaving Just in time 433 9-3 Cliffs of Dover 425 8-6 Cleonte 426 9-0 Limini 433 9-7 Stanley 419 8-8 Stanley I think is not quite good enough .....and limini although joint top rated so I wouldn't put anyone off backing is too high for me on 9-7 to lump around 2m2f against more lightly weighted horses so scrubbed leaving Just in time 16/1 Cliffs of Dover 33/1 Cleonte 16/1 3x 5pt ew...all with will hill BillyHills, black rabbit and skylark2009

Tedthewolf
Wow does it get any harder than this.on the plus side some bookies going 6places in the sprint & some going 8 in the cesarewitch on thoes bases ill take 3 in each race all minium e/w stakes. York 3.15 Brian the snail 25/1 is in poor form but has got back to a winable mark-Teruntum srar 14/1 won this last year only a lb higher should be extremly hard to keep out of the first 6 home.- Lake volta 20/1 Mark Johnston inmate with job jockey Franny Norton on top fair form fair mark and fair price. 3.40 Newmarket. Of the ones at the fore of the market i like the improving Cleonte 14/1-Star over the sea 25/1 looks over priced to me after easy trial win shoudl be in the top 8 home here i would think as is proven at the trip unlike most of these!-Scotland 50/1 top weight not in great form but first run for new stable and this is easier than he usually runs in jon jo throws a 7lb claimer on top. Boy that was hard work sifting throug that lot! Good luck all......think we will need it BillyHills and skylark2009
Trotter
Newm 3.40 Had a look at the Newmarket race last night but ended up with a short list of about 7 using some filters - aged 4/5 draw low to middle I've tried to narrow it down by looking at distances won over and handicap mark and in view of the huge field I'm giving myself 3 runners …….. Trotter
York 3.15 Gone for single figure draw D winner aged 4/5 that's left me with 3 runners and two of them are CD winners so I'll go with them...……. skylark2009
3.15 York Two here for this - Terentum Star - (essentially same reasoning as Tedthewolf). Won this last year and has same draw and only 1lb higher. Tommy Taylor - Could have dropped to a winning mark, rated 107 at start of season (now 96). Won over course/distance. Both E/way
