400 Redcar

Tabarrak 2/1 bet365

Tough day in my opinion with no real stand out bet at a price. I'm rowing in with Tabarrak who should be good enough to win the Listed event at Redcar. Rated 110 so has a few pounds in hand on his main rivals and loads in hand on some, he won last time out to show he's in form and looks to be a 7f specialist rather than a horse trying to find a trip - if you know what i mean.

Ascot 3:35  Growl @ 18/1 PP e/w thanks

Growl - from Richard Fahey yard the 7yo was running in Group 1 races last term but hasn’t managed to finish in front since 2016. With him dropping down the weights and this year he's been running in class 2 an 3 handicap sprints and although not getting his nose in front he's been finishing well in last 500 yards and found four place finishes in seven races this season , The yard are going to try the 7f again as he ran twice in his early days without an success but has shown signs this season with his late finishes that maybe the trick to get back winning again as he goes 16lb less than his last winning mark 114 goes off 98 today with Shane Kelly in saddle for first time,

3.15 Newmarket - Laurens @ 7/2 Paddy Power

Comes into this race with four group 1 victories from six and may be able to reverse placings with Billesdon Brook when 2nd to her in the 1000 Guineas. Meets several other rivals on level terms again from that race. Highest rated is Wind Chimes, she has yet to win at this level but is trained by A Fabre who wouldn't send his horses over without a reasonable chance. A O'Brien sends three and has won this race twice from six runners, best of those could be I Can Fly. Lauren's winning form in group 1's looks the best here and her front running tactics may help here.
