After 3 rounds I posted 13 bets and I made a profit of 10 units. Now I will restart all my stats and I will return to my favourite betting style. ( I considered the first 3 rounds as a trial period )

Atletico Madrid vs Eibar

Yes, I know, I'm going back to Diego Simeone like an abused housewife that knows she should leave but is pulled back in by his charm and allure. This week, I'm backing Atletico to get the win over a struggling Eibar in a midday kick-off tomorrow lunch-time at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Atletico have found the going a little tougher than expected so far in La Liga. Their UEFA Super Cup victory over Real Madrid had many, including myself, singing their praises and anticipating this to be the year they once again broke the power couple of Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the table. Unfortunately, it's not gone to plan.

Just 1 win in their first 3 league games has seen them grind out performances and it could have been worse. Valencia were ruing not taking all three points in that opening game. The 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at home was hardly inspiring. Then the 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo last week might not have been helped by the sending off of Stefan Savic but the performance was severely lacking anyway.

Eibar are the second club of a majority of football hipsters out there. A team that has risen through the ranks of the Spanish football pyramid against all the odds. Jose Luis Mendilibar and his men continue to fight the good fight and still play their home games in front of a 7,083 capacity crowd at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium.

Sadly, this could well be the season that is too much for the little club that could. Their first win of the season last week in a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad at home has given them some relief but the fact they lost 2-1 at home to unfancied Huesca and then 2-0 away to an average Getafe has many tipping them to go down this year.

I fear that this is a game that will see Atletico vent a lot of frustration that has built up over the first few games. Sooner or later, their opponents are going to be in for a beating. I think even though it might be a solid win that won't break scoring records, this is a game where Atletico will dominate possession and demoralise their opponents for 90 minutes.
