I always wanted a forum here for tennis .. seems its kicking off nicely. I like your parlay above. But more so especially Bouchard .. she rolled in early qualies.. never heard of their opponents. I'd have busta as a slight favorite at around -125 to -115. I think that is a fair price.. And I think the book is playing games with bettors by listing Chung overpriced.. Busta is the more accomplished player and higher ranked in the prime of his career.. so why is he a dog ? Carreno Busta @ 2.35 with William Hill It's just possible that PCB doesn't want to go any further here. As he made the semis at the US Open last year he's probably fancying his chances of going one better. He got to the 1/4 finals at Cincinnati last week and three more matches here may ruin his chances next week. Just a thought.
CzechPunter
Hi and welcome @alexmarius! No reason to include so many links next time, only the bookie is enough (and please do not hyperlink it). alexmarius
CzechPunter
Two more singles for me today actually. I don't have much to say about them, so forgive me this time around - the short version is that both are better players and I don't rate Trevisan/Glushko as particularly dangerous. Varvara Lepchenko to beat Martina Trevisan at 1.53 with William Hill Viktorija Golubic to beat Julia Glushko at 1.41 with Unibet Rypcio
CzechPunter
Sick from Lepchenko, not what I wanted to see, but these things happen.

Larkin22
I don't get it really. Surely playing crap isn't a good warm-up for the US Open, he's been truly awful. If it's just picking up a pay day then it's a real shame for the sport that it happens. CzechPunter

CzechPunter
If Golubic loses and Karlovic wins, it's still going to be a profit for me for the week, somewhat surprising really .
alexmarius
Why surprisingly? If Karlovic wins, you have won this week, 4 bets from 6 (even they weren't very high ones, they were very good ones)
CzechPunter
Well, I was under some sort of a wrong impression I guess. Anyway, what a dreadful day with Karlovic sealing the deal. Lots of strange results for the day really, I'll probably take the rest of the week off with the major coming up.

four-leaf
Nicolas Mahut to beat Tommy Robredo at 2.01 with Pinnacle Nicolas have shown enough on hardcourt lately to give me the belief he can win here and he was in the US open third round last season so he's got a lot of points to defend. Without qualifying for US open Nicos season will be ruined. Tommy is still not going up in my book just because he's beaten Henri Laaksonen and Greg Barrere. Casper Ruud to beat Daniel Elahi Galan at 1.52 with Pinnacle Casper can play better on hardcourt than Daniel and I think he will show it tonight. He's also beaten Daniel on clay in straight sets and now on hardcourt I think should Casper win again. alexmarius and Nes* 1

alexmarius
Sabalenka to beat Suarez Navarro at 1.50 with Unibet (Update: WON 6-1 6-4) 1. Sabalenka deserves this title. She plays very well on this tournament and on the previous one. She beat in a row : Georges, Bencic, Gavrilova, Stosur in this tournament and Keys, Garcia, Pliskova Ka. and Konta on the previous one (Cincinnati) and also Wozniacki and Bogdan in Montreal Only Halep and Mertens beat her in the last 12 games. 2. Suarez Navarro is a very clever player, and she will try to stop Sabalenka attacks with a lot of spin and with a lot of low and high balls on both corners and especially, very often placed on backand corner. But is not sure that such a tactic will work, and will arrive to put Sabalenka under a complete control, on a whole match. Especially against an aggressive Sabalenka and at the speed of a hard court. However this tactic is the main risk raised by this bet, and would be good to follow at what extend will work.. Also, Suarez Navarro is not the player that was few years ago. She arrived in the final, mainly due to a lot of abandons. Edited August 25, 2018 by alexmarius CzechPunter
alexmarius
Proposal: would be great if each one would will update his own predictions with the final result. Not for the record, but because is much more easier when somebody read the posts, to follow and to learn what happens different from the initial assumptions. A prediction is not only : won or lost. Is mainly why "was won" and why "was lost"? This will help everyone. So maybe also, more "post-match" discussions are needed, regarding what happened different from the initial prediction and what happened accordingly. This can follow too, to help the future predictions.
