Bayern Munich continue to enjoy life as the reigning champions. However, it's a tense finish for the teams behind them looking to secure European football next season. Who will qualify for the Champions League and Europa League next season? We could know a lot more by the end of these games. StevieDay1983 Posted April 27, 2018 Author Share Posted April 27, 2018 Schalke vs Borussia Monchengladbach A Champions League place for next season can be confirmed in this 2:30pm kick-off at the Veltins-Arena when 2nd placed Schalke take on 8th placed Borussia Monchengladbach. It's a game involving two sides that have had positive seasons and victory for either side could see their hopes of the desired European qualification realised. Domenico Tedesco has worked miracles at Schalke this season. His side have broken the hold of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig on the top three to move to within one win of securing Champions League football next season. Just 1 defeat in their last 9 Bundesliga games has contributed to that impressive end to the season. Dieter Hecking has also done a decent job at Borussia Monchengladbach. His side are only 4 points off the Europa League qualifications spots. So they will be firing on all cylinders to try and get the win here. It'll be tough though. Especially given their recent form of just 2 wins in 7 league matches. The away side will not only have to defy their away form that has seen them win just 4 from their 15 games on the road but they are also facing a Schalke side that have only suffered defeat twice at home this season. It's easy to see why the bookies really fancy the home side to do the business. This could be a thriller though. Victory would potentially be massive and a draw is almost as useless as a loss for both teams.
