2 PICKS FOR ATP MATCHES:

BARCELONA PELLA to defeat GOJOWCZYK @ 1.33 betfair or 1.31 pinnacle
BUDAPEST STRUFF to defeat ZOPP @ 1.33 betfair or 1.31 pinnacle
Two clay court specialists playing against fast court players. Expect comfortable wins in both matches.

Hmmm! I just wish monopoly money was real money.

Marton Fucsovics to beat Yannick Maden at 1.57 with Bet365

Decent price I'd say given that the better player of the two is also the home player here. The clay should give Maden some hope, but Fucsovics is just two classes above.

nice early spot on this one as odds have collapsed to 1.40

Yep. Shocking.

Ipek Oz (+1.5 sets) to beat Kateryna Bondarenko at 3.61 with Pinnacle

Pauline Parmentier to beat Yulia Putintseva at 3.00 with Bet365

Benoit Paire to beat Pablo Carreno-Busta at 2.66 with Marathonbet

Oz to take a set is just pure value imo, it's honestly like a coin-flip with Bondarenko on the other side of the net, so let's hope that the coin is going to land on heads this time. Parmentier/Putintseva also feels a bit like a coin-flip given how unstable both are. Finally, PCB didn't play in Monte Carlo due to health problems and he didn't even sign up for the doubles here (he played them last year), so chances are he's not going to be fit for this one (one-set/one-ball bookie recommended I guess).

McHale 2.62 v Begu BET365

Conditions seem slow-medium in Istanbul. I feel playing Barthel is a good matchup for McHale leading into the match v Begu and Begu seemed to get frustrated with Jakupovic clinging onto every point in the 1st set. She'll faced an even more determined fighter in McHale. Even on her best day Begu can be inconsistent and moody

They've played once before on clay and Begu won in 3 tight sets on Madrid clay which indicates to me that a similar matchup will be in store

Elina Svitolina to beat Marketa Vondrousova at 1.44 with Marathonbet

Vondrousova doesn't seem to be that great these days. She crushed Goerges, who was absolutely abysmal, but that's about it, with her qualifying wins being surprisingly tough. Svitolina should dominate, but it's more about opposing the Czech.

Danka Kovinic/Arantxa Rus over 2.5 sets at 2.45 local bookie

Feliciano Lopez to beat (-1.5 sets) Martin Klizan at 3.75 local bookie

Feli beat Martin in Rotterdam this season in straight sets and Danka beat Arantxa in 3 sets in Florianopolis on hardcourt 2014 so why not try the same thing happening again although it doesn't matter for me who wins between Danka and Arantxa. So I'm going to try this since the odds are better at my local bookie on this specific bet than it is at bet365. These two bets doubled up on my local bookie gives me the price 9.19.

Feliciano Lopez to beat Martin Klizan at 2.30 with bet365

Suddenly Martin with his irregular form becomes fav to beat Feli because he beat Nole. I don't buy that!

I made the same bet, GL.

My other bet is Vandeweghe @2,02. Although Siegemund plays for the home crowd, I can't see her as a favourite against Coco who looks on her way back.

I don't mind that retirement given the bookie, but Vondrousova certainly didn't look like dying, not sure what that was about.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (+1.5 sets) to beat Garbine Muguruza at 2.19 with Pinnacle

Worth chancing at above evens imo, Muguruza was poor in the Fed Cup and the conditions are tough if you aren't used to them, lots of strange bounces.

Well...that retirement certainly did hurt, on the other hand, it's never fun to get a won bet voided, AAARGH! I see way too many bets for tomorrow and that usually means trouble, so going for just one.

M.Klizan/R.Nadal - Over 17.5 games at 2.08 with Marathonbet

Because he has what it takes. Don't put your life savings on it, of course, but Klizan is a worse match-up for Nadal than all those guys that are afraid of risky shots.

I really do not know why think Vondrousova does not look great these days. I had one quick look at her current record and came to the conclusion that you must have only said so to find some sort of justification for your choice. Markeeta has already proved that she is a top class player with loads of potential and deserves her spot in tier one tennis playing among the world's best!

Rafael Nadal/Martin Klizan over 2.5 sets at 7.00 with bet365

I suddenly got the idea that today won't be as easy for Rafa as usual. Martin has beaten Rafa once and taken at least a set on all surfaces in his 3 matches against Rafa. On clay Rafa won 4-6 6-3 6-3 6-3 and grass was the same result. I suspect something similar could be on the cards today. Maybe it's time for Rafa to drop a set, Martin is acctually playing well.

Caroline Garcia to beat Elina Svitolina at 2.50 with bet365

Nobrainer, Caroline has beaten Elina last two meetings both last season on hardcourt and one were in the WTA Finals. Elina is not playing any good tennis at all right now but Caroline is so I think it's not to bad to suspect an upset here although it's a small one but it just doesn't feel like the odds are set right here.

RAFAEL NADAL VS MARTIN KLIZAN

This really looks and feels like a mouth watering prospect despite what the odd makers have put forward. Head to Head comparison reads Nadal 2-1(Nadal winnning 3-1 on clay 2013, 3-1 on grass 2014, and Klizan winning 2-1 on hard 2014.. Nadal born 1986 and Klizan born 1989. Whilst a credible arguement can be tendered that the matches were played so long ago, there is nothing to suggest that Nadal would have improved a lot more over klizan since that time considering their ages.

Nadal's power over the enemy has always come from the difficulty in the matchup stemming from the heavy topspins generated from his forearm into the backhand corner of his opponent. In this case Klizan is left-handed and from the record from previous matchups, has a game that suits the playing style of Nadal. Furthermore, Klizan has never failed to win a set in any of those meetings.

I think the bookies are really carried away here with the way they have set these ridiculous odds.....or maybe they are not, knowing that there will still be a lot of gutless turds who would back Nadal silly in this match up. The end result is a plethora of bets that can be taken in this game enroute to victory. I have chosen what I first saw as a real gift. Total games over 17.5 evens @ paddypower. Now that's my idea of a no brainer!!! Good luck all!!

N.B Also seriously consider klizan winning a set
